CHAPTER LXIV : THE SEAMAN IN THE VAST OCEAN

-Hazol-

            “Can you stand?” I asked her as she got dressed up, she nodded in response but she doesn’t look well. She really got tired “Can you carry her?” I aturned to Vedasto and asked her

            “If it’s fine with her” he answered and walked towards Zati who just got finished wearing Ved’s shirt “Come here” he said and carried her with his strong arms

            “It’s your turn Zexal” I said and turned to Zexal who’s preparing himself. He stepped towards the water and raised his hand as if controlling the sea

            “Can someone here create something that we can step on?” he asked all of us, gosh I can’t

            “How about ice?” Eeya asked if her powers can do it

            “Uhmm… let me see if I can use Dafrosa’s powers right now” Kurezma said doubtingly. He shoved her hand and started creating something “There… does that count?” she asked as she just created a wooden boat that we can use

            “Great!” I commented. We all stepped on the wooden boat that Kurezma created then Zexal pushed it to the sea. He started shoving his hand that made some waves tossing us towards the sea “Here” I said showing his mind the direction where he should bring us

            “Thanks” he said then the waves started pushing us slowly towards the direction that I showed him. The bay slowly became small because of the distance implying that we’re departing from it.

            The sea is so vast and beautiful, I am loving the scenery. Unfortunately for me we live far from it.

            “So this is the ocean…” Kurezma said as she got mesmerized with what she’s seeing right now

            “You haven’t seen one before?” Zexal asked unbelievingly

            “I haven’t… we only blue plains up above, yet we don’t see it up close as this” she answered. Right, thunder tribe is in the clouds, they’re way far from the oceans than I do ahahaha

            “Beautiful isn’t it…?” Zexal said as he kept his hand controlling the waves to bring us to our location

            “Indeed…” Kurezma answered as she can’t keep herself from laughing “I love it” she added

            “By the way, can’t we go a little faster?” Eeya asked as she noticed that we’re travelling in the sea for a long time now.

            “No… I’m just being careful not to create strong waves, we might fall of or get wet” Zexal answered that made Eeya’s eyes roll. She shoved her hands that created ice barriers on the corners of our wooden boat

            “Now, can you go a little faster? It’s not nice to spend the whole afternoon in the middle of the sea” she said

            “Ok, hold on tight guys” Zexal reminded all of us then created strong waves that pushed our boat go faster than a while ago

            “Because it’s afternoon in the Psychic Nation, tell you what, it’s evening in the Air empire right now” Eeya added

            “Oh really?” Zexal asked as if he didn’t know

            “You don’t know?” Eeya asked him “Gosh, we’re travelling from country to another country. Time zones are different country you know. It’s because our world is sphere, the phase that faces our suns is morning, while the opposite face is evening… you get it?” she explained it to him

            “Oh yea, I get it now… sorry, we’ve got no things such as those under the sea. Ok? Ahahaha” Zexal answered laughingly. He lived under the sea so he must have not known those things ahahahaha

            “Gosh, our world is really that vast, there are some things we don’t know because we live in a specific location…” I said as I noticed how Kurezma and Zexal get so amazed witnessing everything here

            “Yea… that’s why I wanted to know more” Kurezma said as she knew that I am pertaining to her. Yet I also wonder what it’s like living up in the clouds, or down under the ocean

            “Hey I see land!” Vedasto exclaimed as he pointed towards the land ahead of us

            “Wait… we’re not there yet. I can feel it, where approaching the Krupp Island, the farthest island from the Frozen Grounds mainland…” Eeya said

            “Hey, that’s where you live” Kurezma pointed it

            “Yea, I miss home” she agreed “But I’m sure the Mountain of Zarodias is just behind that island… just turn left and we’re going to see another island again, it’s the Island Hueia Island” she said as if she knew the direction

            “Are you sure?” Zexal asked for confirmation. I looked at the map once more and I really see another island behind this Krupp island she’s saying, then behind the Hueia is the mountain of Zarodias.

            “Look at this” I said then showed it to Zexal using telepathy once more

            “Ok, right” he said and turned left avoiding the island that we are approaching. We fastly entered the body of water between these two islands. Krupp Island has another island on its left, from our perspective. And there we saw the Hueia Island that Eeya mentioned.

            Zexal then controlled the waves to push us to turn right. We quickly passed through that island and saw the island that we are going. The Mountain of Zarodias, from our perspective, we can clearly see high mountains. This place really is in the Air Empire. Zexal continued driving us towards the Island.

            “Woah, it’s so beautiful…” Kurezma commented finally seeing a mountain “So that is a mountain” she added

            “There…” I said as I pointed someone on the bay waiting for us to come. He’s probably the person that the man back in Psychic Nation told us about

            “It’s good now that you’re here” he said welcoming us. We traveled for about a couple of hours, not including the part when we rode Zati.

            “Good day…” I greeted him and walking along with him towards the Island “So what is the challenge here?” I asked, he smiled at me and turned his head towards the mountains and pointed it

            “Above that steep mountain is the item you need to get to surpass this challenge. It’s so very difficult to climb if you’re not a Loft, but you have to do it. Who among you here is the Loft?” he said and then asked us

            “None sire, she’s in the other team…” I answered, gosh… did they intended for this to happen? Like not including Astral in our team and then send us here? Ahahahaha

            “So, if you’re ready, you may go” he said ad gestured his hand giving us the way

            “Let’s go…” Kurezma said and initiated, we just followed her “He said it’s very difficult, but he didn’t say it’s impossible. I’m sure we can make it”

            “Gosh, how?” Harald asked

            “Zati can’t make turn into a dragon right now, she needs time to rest” Vedasto said still carrying Zati in his arms

            “Is it required that all of us can go up there?” I asked the man in charge

            “Of course” he firmly answered that made us all looked up the mountain… gosh, how do we do this?

            “Look at those vines… let’s go check it out” Vedasto said pointing at the vines streaming down the mountain, he walked towards it still carrying Zati as if it didn’t bother him “It looked strong, we can use this” he said and put down Zati for a while then started pulling those vines.

            “Here, tie it to your waists so that we can all go up. I’ll tie it to me first so that I can carry all of you” he said and started tying it in him first “Next you Hazol…” he said and tied the vine around me

            “Are you sure it won’t go off?” I asked as he finished tying it to me

            “Yea I’m sure, and if it goes off… let’s have a plan B later” he said and handed the vine to Zexal so he could tie it to him too “You start planning what we should do if ever it cuts off” he said while thoroughly tying it on Harald…

            “You next Eeya” he said and tied it on Eeya “Can you climb Zati?” he asked, she responded with a nod so he tied it on her. She’s gaining back her strength though since she can stand already, unlike earlier.

            “I’m putting you last, since I know you know what to do if something unexpected will happen” he told Kurezma as he tied it to her

            “It seems like you know what you’re doing” I said as he double checked the vines

            “I love mountain climbing, I used to do this back home. It’s just that, we don’t have proper equipment which makes it harder for us to do this. But let’s still do this. So what’s our plan B?” he asked

            “You said it already, putting Kurezma at the end of the line up so that she’ll do something if something happenes” I repeated as I laughed

            “Seriously? Ahahaha” he asked and laughed the others laughed as well “We can’t go up there without having a proper plan” he repeated. We all got shocked when the vines suddenly turned into metal… obviously it’s Harald

            “Why didn’t you say so?” Vedasto said “We’ve been fooling ourselves around thinking of things we can do to be sure, and then there you are who knows yet you don’t talk” he added narrowing his eyes towards Harald

            “I’m sorry, I don’t want to talk, I want to show you ahahahaha” he answered giving us a peace sign

            “But thank you anyway…” Vedasto said as he looked at the metal chains tied to us

            “That’s made of titanium… it won’t break easily” Harald said proud of himself

            “Let me help” I said as I secured every ties that Vedasto did with psychic energy to hold it up strongly…

            “So here’s what we’re going to do… I will carry you all until we get on top. But you will help me too, you climb following my steps, ok? So that it won’t be that difficult for me?” he said explaining to us his plan. Though he explained it ununderstandable, good thing I can read his mind and spread it to everyone to understand him clearly.

            “Are you guys ready?” he asked. See, I told you I don’t have to worry about being a leader of this team. Everyone would just stand out if they know what to do. All I do is to keep our unity, it’s not that difficult to do because we all understand each other.
