The local abductions stopped in the surrounding areas, at least for the time being. Strange activity at Hyde Manor had calmed for the next forty-plus years. It hadn’t stopped altogether, but it did calm a bit. Lord Harkford Mason Hyde, now an older man, but one who still looked youthful with pale skin and bright eyes, tight skin, no wrinkles, and enchanting smile, resided in the manor, and painted. Occasionally young men went missing from surrounding towns. A construction worker from Templeton. Two college students from Crescent. A handyman from West End. The men were never discovered. Lost in the world. Misplaced. But the cult itself had ceased existing. The ring of queer bloodsuckers had passed. There were no more all-male orgies. Events had calmed at the manor. Rumors had died.
