To say I was shocked would be an understatement. I couldn't believe that Melissa had let me do that. I kept expecting her to tell me to stop but watching her come might have been the best thing I have ever seen in my entire life. When we got to the play room I had set up for Charlie, she was sleeping on the couch with Barb sitting next to her rubbing her back. She looked up as we entered the room and gave us a soft smile.
"I didn't want to interrupt you two but she fell asleep about 15 minutes ago, I hope that's okay. I know how precarious sleeping schedules can be for little ones."
"Oh no that's totally fine, it's past her bed time anyway. I just figured with the excitement of a new place she might stay up."
