4 Stranded “Throw him out into the snow.” At first, Raedrick thought certain Julian was not being serious. Then he saw the fire in his friend’s eyes, the scowl that spoke of an anger beyond rage, and he realized Julian would do exactly that, if Raedrick let him. They stood in the entrance hall of the Healers Circle, where Raedrick and Master Sebastini had retreated after Tolburt drifted off to sleep again. He had not said much more, being only awake for a few moments, and left Raedrick with more questions than answers about what he was doing there. Julian had arrived only a few minutes later and Raedrick briefed him on the situation. Sebastini moved before Raedrick could respond to Julian’s reaction, interposing himself between Julian and the doorway leading back to the patient rooms
