The Eagle's Mate

Chapter 2

"Let's unload the groceries first, then you two eat. I'm going to start blowing up the mattresses, while you two are eating." Nia said

"Can we get the TVs out before we eat?"  Lia is standing there with her hands on her hips, looking at Nia

"Yea Nia, I'm tired of watching stuff on my tablet. Plus I'm tired of  hearing Lia complaining about it."   Mia said looking at Lia.  with her hands up like a choking position. 

"Okay, we can do that, before you kill her,"  Nia said laughing looking at Mia. 

They finally get everything unloaded including four rifles. The rifles were their fathers. He taught them how to shoot. Their mother sent them to self-defense, taekwondo, and karate classes. Nia and Mia are black belts in karate. Nia also has a black belt in taekwondo. Mia's belt is red in taekwondo. They are teaching Lia at home.

They sit in the middle of the floor in the kitchen eating lunch. When Mia said, "she's going to enter the code of the cameras into their tablets and load the guns.

"Okay, Lia do you remember the places to hide? That we showed you when we were unloading?"  Nia said looking at her little sister

"Yep, I got it,"  Lia said drinking her soda.

"Good, I'm going to set the alarm, take a hot bath, and lay down for a while,"  Nia said looking at her sisters. Nia took a long bubble bath before laying down. It didn't take her long to fall asleep.

Mia woke her up around eight, so she could eat dinner. Mia brings Nia a plate with chicken,  red beans and rice, coleslaw, and a Coke. 

Nia ate, used the bathroom, and went right back to sleep.

The next morning Mia and Lia woke up early. Nia is still asleep.

"Nia, Nia get up. Mia is cooking breakfast. Come on so we can go get our puppies."  Lia is shaking her sister.

"What time is it?"  Nia rolls over,  opening her eyes.  She looks at Lia

"A little after seven. Get up."  Lia said looking at Nia

"Okay, I will be down in ten minutes,"  Nia said sitting up stretching

"Come on so we can get our puppies. Mia said we can't eat until you come down."  Lia said looking at Nia

"Okay, Lia, I'm on my way,"  Nia said as she digs in the suitcase for a pair of blue jean shorts and a red blouse that ties in the front.

"I'm here,"  Nia said looking at her sisters as she walks into the kitchen.

"We went ahead and ate,"  Mia said handing Nia a BLT and a glass of coconut milk.

"Thank you," Nia said looking at her sisters smiling

"I was going to make coffee.  But decided not to,"  Mia looks over at the coffee maker. 

"That's fine. We can pick some up from Starbucks."  Nia is drinking her milk.

"Can we go get our puppies and horses now? " Lia is looking at her sisters with her hands on her hips. 

"Yep," Nia said looking at Lia

Mia is talking about going riding this evening after the horses are delivered. "They have already planned my day."  Nia is thinking as she agrees with her.  She put her dishes in the dishwasher. Grab her purse, and keys heading to the garage.

Nia had promised her sisters they would get two puppies and six horses. But she didn't expect them to wake her up so early. 

"Hi, we came to adopt two puppies,"  Nia looks at the young lady at the shelter.

"Any specific breed?" the lady asks them as she walks them around looking at the puppies

"No, just whatever they decide to get,"  Nia said looking at her sisters walking over to two white and gray German shepherds.

"Nia, we want these two"  Mia and Lia said in unison

"They are from the same litter. Their mother is here also. A woman dropped them off last night."  The lady said looking at Lia and Mia

"Where is the mother?"  Nia asks looking around. 

"She's in a different room." The lady said, walking Nia to look at the mother. The lady didn't have a name tag and didn't bother telling Nia her name

"We'll take the mother too. We can't separate them." Nia said looking at beautiful pure white German Shepherd

The lady smiles at Nia. "I'm glad you are taking all of them. They are well-mannered dogs. If I had the room I would have adopted them myself." 

Nia, Mia, and Lia lead their new family members to the SUV. They decided to name Lia's puppy Liza, Mia's puppy is Miza, and Nia's dog is Niza. They have a thing about A's at the end of their names. Their mother's name was Priya.

After leaving the shelter Nia drive to Pet Smart.  She and her sisters need to buy some food and supplies for their new girls.

"Nia "

I stopped in the middle of the aisle. I am standing there staring at the most handsome tall man I have ever seen in my life. He has black eyes, stood 6'2, he's wearing his long black hair in a ponytail.  He is Native American and sexy. Boy, he is sexy, breathtaking.

For some strange reason, I want to rip his shirt off, bury my head in his chest. I am wondering how he would look shirtless and his hair down. I swear my body temperature just went up. The same way it did yesterday in the grocery store.

I am just standing there frozen. Until Mia snaps her fingers in my face. She said something, I guess it is about dog food or treats. I don't know what she said. I wasn't listening to her, but I told her to put it in the cart.

I had to take one more look at the sexy man before I walked away. I named him Hercules I'm talking Kevin Sorbo Hercules. Tall, sexy, and just the right amount of muscles in the right place. His skin is a beautiful bronze color. I feel so drawn to him. He has the most handsome black eyes I had ever seen. "God please let that man be my Soulmate," I said out loud looking up.

When we left the store Mia and Lia were laughing at me. Because I was staring at Hercules.

 Lia laughs,  "Nia you were drooling."

 Mia finally admitted and said that "Hercules was handsome and fine".

We drove to Martin Brown's horse ranch to buy horses. We ended up buying four Arabian horses and the two Mustangs that I fell in love with. We also order twelve truck beds of hay

Mr. Brown looks at me he said that he will have his son Carlton to deliver the horses and some of the hay in a few hours, he will deliver the rest of the hay tomorrow.

I didn't get a good feeling about Carlton. He was looking at me with a lot of lust in his eyes. He also kept invading my space too much. I didn't like it.
