###Chapter 1 1 It was a pretty morning and Bethany Wales had to start her internship at the hospital. She was a lawyer in the making and her law firm had sent her to a very renowned hospital to have had an internship since she was to be a cooperate lawyer. "Good morning Austin. How was your night?" "Fine cousin, and yours how was it?" Austin asked as they both met at the corridor leading to the office of the leading head of the department where she was supposed to work under but Bethany had no clue of what he looked like except for his name. "Austin, can you direct me to Dr. Christian Morgan's office? He is to be my supervisor throughout this journey here at the hospital, and Austin, bulging out his eyes in surprise, said, " No way. Don't tell me that my boss is your supervisor?" "Really? He is your boss?" "Yes, he is." "This is good, meaning you will put in some good words for me right?" "Don't even think about it cousin because that man is not a friendly person. He believes only in hard work so better do your best okay? I have to go now see you soon." Austin mumbled walking away and taking the other corridor but Bethany called him out and said that she doesn't know his office, Austin just pointed at the door and told her to knock only once and enter if not she will stay outside. "What is wrong with him?" Bethany asked standing there like a ghost and watching her cousin disappearing behind the corridor. "I will be at the theater hall in some minutes, I am almost done here," Christian spoke out picking up his doctors' stethoscope and putting it on his neck, then he heard someone knock on his door and entered at once. His eyes were glued to Bethany who had made her way into his office. "Excuse me, Sir, I am your new intern and I have been assigned under you for my internship." Bethany let out with her hands stretching out the letter to him and Chris wanting to keep his profile like he tended to do, asked, "Yes, what can I do for you?" "That is weird why is her so cold?" She questioned but her thoughts were interrupted by Christian's query again as he repeated himself and Bethany looking at him, she said that she was sent to be supervised by Dr. Christian Morgan. "I am sorry but he is not around at the moment, do pass by later to speak with him, okay?" He said walking away from his own office and before she could say anything else, he was out of there. "My goodness, what are the strange man he is." She could not believe what had just taken place but well, she knew in her that she had to wait for him and find him if he had to. "Doctor Chris, there is a lady out there to see you." A nurse mumbled but he had an urgent case to attend to so he had to send her to another doctor. Bethany, leaving the office and thinking of where to head to, her cousin immediately came to her mind and she took out her cell phone to dial his number. But just as she was going out, there were some posters of three doctors on the corridor wall and she was curious to read them. So with her head lifted, Bethany began to read the first person's name and person and he was said to be one of the best surgeons in the middle, there was a beautiful lady with a broad smile. "Wow, she is gorgeous and intelligent too," Bethany muttered, and when her eyes got to the last and the best of them all, she was surprised to see the face that was on the poster. "Him?" Bethany's voice went up and she held her mouth again. She had not even yet read the name that was under the notice but she was already hating on Chris because of the bad behavior that he had showcased some moments ago, and feeling like he was so full of himself, she brought down her eyes to have a look at his name and Bethanys five senses were freeze just by reading the names that were on the advertisement. "What the hell is this?" Bethany was taken unaware by the information she was reading and in wonder as to the reasons why he will lie about his own identity, she decides to follow him up and have him supervise her. She was a very stubborn woman as well and it was not like she was scared of him or could easily be walked on but respect was something that Bethany had learned over the years. Sophie was already at her new shop and little did she know that the rude man she had stumbled on the other day at the supermarket was her new landlord. She was such a sweetheart and often spoke her mind as it appeared. So having toxic people around her was a no and she was doing her best to keep that up without being a savage. "Please be careful with those, there are expensive pots and plates in there," Sophie mumbled while coordinating them, and Adrian, giving attention to the noise that was outside, he had to leave his book store to go see what was going on. When he got outside and saw a tiny lady moving into his next building which was a restaurant, he had not thought that a lady was the one who had taken it though he seemed to have forgotten that the person who made the negotiations and renovated the place, had informed him about his friend being the one to run the place. When he called out the lady in an attempt to ask whether she was his new neighbor and tenant, Sophie took up her head and turned to face him, they both were shocked at the sight of each other, and in unison, they screamed out at the same time, "You?" ###Chapter 2 2 Bethany was determined to meet Chris but she had to go back to the company to sign her name and give an account for the day. She had no idea of what she was going to say over there but one thing was certain and that was the fact that she could not afford to back down so easily. "You haven't heard the last of me, Dr. Christian Morgan," Bethany grumbled alone in the corridor before moving out of there. The surgery was a success and Chris coupled with his two colleagues, were equally exhausted. "This one was tough and I got skeptical at some point. What about you guys?" Ernest inquired with his eyes giving out the impression that he was damn scared and Brenda confirmed it. "I had the same feeling too man and yes, this case was one of the toughest I have had in a while," Chris spoke out holding his waist. The operation had gone on for about six hours or so, and the patient was very well okay and just needed to wake up after the Anastasia must have gotten finished. "Guys, I need to leave now. I feel that my wife must be missing me so much." Ernest mumbled with a sly smile on his face causing both Chris and Brenda who was still single to envy him. "We will soon be like you, Ernest. Stop bragging too much before you receive a punch from Brenda." Chris said turning his gaze towards her but quickly asked why he had to mention his name Ernest snatched the question in her mouth and his answer was satisfactory to her ears. "That is because he has something to tell you, but he doesn't have the balls to do so." "Oh, really now?" Brenda inquired feeling all happy to hear it but Chris using his left leg, kicked Ernest on his butt, with his lips leaving the 'get lost' sentence out of them. "Okay fine, but you two should have some rest and hope to see you tomorrow at the site, okay?" Ernest let out as he walked away and both Chris and Brenda waved at him. "Are you heading home straight? I can drop you off since your car is at the mechanic." Chris proposed and Brenda's smile could not hide any longer. "Sure. But are you not tired?" Her question popped out as though she was not glad to be dropped by him, but Chris insisted saying that it was a little bit late for her to get a cab back home. "Okay, then, let us meet at the entrance in about ten minutes. Okay?" "Okay." Chris retired to his office where he was to have a change into his clothes but Brenda, finding it difficult to resist his charms, could not help but watch him walk magically back with all the charisma that he was having. Chris was a tall and muscular young man in his early thirties, with a 1.90cm height and a smile that could make even a blind lady to was just in his presence. His black hair was well styled with some part of it coming in front of his face. His red lips were just as succulent as a deliciously made Candy and his fragrance, oh my was heavenly. He has the looks, finance, intelligence, and boldness to make any woman go mad for him. "I wish he could just express his feelings for me so that I can make him mine forever?" The thoughts of it could not stop circulating inside her head while her whole being shivered under the influence of his sensual hands all over him. Bethany was alone on her bed with her eyes open but all she could think of was her achievement of becoming great. But when the thought of her mon, came to her, she jumped out of the bed in fright, not knowing what she was going to narrate to her if she ever gets caught. Brenda asked but Chris being so tired, told her not to bother about that and promised that they were going to do it some other time, she had a disappointed look, but at the same time, she had to understand. "Well, let's say goodnight." Brenda asserted and Chris wished her good night too. She stepped out of the car and walked into her building and Chris started his car and left. "How could he have gotten a restaurant from this devilish man as my landlord?" Sophie inquired looking all angry and Adrian being an introvert, was in his bookstore, feeling the Same. It was very obvious that they both were going to have serious issues as they had one common problem which was not being able to ascertain each other's presence. Chris was back at home, but he could not stop thinking of Bethany, after seeing her that day at his office. He felt funny that he had to have such a connection with someone he did not know, but in order not to think about it so much, he drank his glass of juice and went to bed. The phone rings and walked Chris up and he struggles out of his bed to reach for it as it interrupts his sleep. Being a doctor was not easy and he had to be on the move every time. Thinking that it was an emergency, he picked it up and his superior greeted him and told him about the case of a young intern who needs his supervision and she had some documents to deliver to him. "Good morning boss, but I don't have any shift today," Chris responded but his boss said the intern had come to their hospital on a highly recommended profile and it was not going to be advisable for her to be turned down and listening to that, he had no other option but to accept the request. The line cut and Chris turned on the bed and laid down flat with his eyes opened as he stared at his ceiling in wonder to know who that person might be for Mr. Louise to call him that early morning. ###Chapter 3 3 " Bethany open the door now, I have something to tell you," Austin called out while knocking on her door, and Bethany who had slept late because she was video chatting all night with Sophie, crawled out of the bed like a snake who had a big stomach from overfeeding. "I am coming," she spoke out with sleep blinding her eyes. She was all about the Gore's day that she had gotten the previous day and there was Austin her cousin knocking on her four like a tax collector. Finally reaching her door, she held on to the handle and unlocked her door and he came in immediately like some ghost.
