I often wish that I am just dreaming.

Something inside of me wanted to fool myself that all of this was nothing but a bad episode. That everything that is happening to me would end the second that I woke up. And yet, sitting across a grinning man proves that I couldn’t have everything that easily. No matter how many times I pinch myself, there was no waking up to this nightmare. The second that I signed that contract, I have sold myself to the devil himself.

This asshole of a man had rung my doorbell at 6 in the morning. Six in the morning—on a Sunday. If that does not prove that he is the devil, then I do not know what will. If I had just been the one who had checked the receiver, I would have flatly denied him.
