“Where am I going to get changed?" I asked as we settled in the van.
Alex turned those gorgeous eyes my way and I had to concentrate not to melt into a puddle.
“My downtown office. I have a full dressing room and walk-in closet there."
I chuckled and shook my head. “Of course, you do. You're rich as s**t. I don't suppose that your dressing room includes makeup, does it? I only brought a little bit in my purse and for this kind of formal gala I should probably glow up more than that."
He took a phone out of his breast pocket, the platinum case shining in the afternoon light. “Not yet, but soon."
Alex tapped the screen and put the phone to his ear. “Hello, Phyllis? I need you to purchase and arrange for the delivery of some makeup."
