I toss and turn in my large bed, unable to shut my eyes. The bed that used to have Leah by my side, but now I have to sleep in it alone. The events in Kaylie's room have made me impossible to find peace. The sensation of being like in a vacuum chamber is common in our werewolf world when we touch our mates for the first time. But I never expected to feel it with Kaylie. She's human, so why do I experience the same sensation I felt when I touched Leah, my deceased mate? What is happening? I'm so confused that cannot close my eyes to peacefull sleep.
However, as an alpha, I must set aside these feelings. Falling in love with a human is something I cannot afford. But why does our goddess make me feel this sensation when I touch Kaylie? What should I do? Should I try to deny it
