Melany POV

I play with Adam as Luna Kaylie enters the room, her face lighting up at the sight of Adam who immediately shouts, "Mommy!" as he rushes into her arms. Seeing Luna Kaylie approach, Adam leaps into her embrace. As Luna Kaylie scoops Adam up, my heart skips a beat. "Adam, honey, slow down a bit. Mommy's tummy is delicate right now, okay?" I interject, my tone tinged with concern. I glance nervously at Luna Kaylie's belly, hoping Adam doesn't accidentally bump into it. The last thing we want is any mishap that could harm the baby. With bated breath, I silently urge Adam to be gentle and mindful around his mother's burgeoning bump. After all, ensuring the safety of the little one inside is our top priority.

"It's okay, Melany," Luna Kaylie says as she kiss Adam's Cheek

I manage to hold onto Adam.

"But if Alpha Lucas finds out, he'll scold me," I say, attempting to get Adam down from Luna Kaylie's embrace.

"You're just like Lucas, always saying what I can't do. Try looking at it from Adam's perspective. He must be wondering why he can't be held because his little sibling is in my tummy. I don't want Adam to dislike my pregnancy from the start. I hope all my children will love each other. Let me hold him for a moment, then I'll put him down. Don't stop Adam when he wants to be held. I know my capabilities. So, don't worry, Melany," Luna Kaylie advises me.

Luna Kaylie has a special bond with Adam. Although he's not her biological child, she was the one who delivered Adam from Luna Leah's womb when Luna Leah was severely injured while trying to help me. Yes, I was one of the omegas abducted by Monster Blake. He was cruel; when I was kidnapped, he repeatedly assaulted me in hopes of impregnating me. But I couldn't conceive, and he flew into a rage, injuring my uterus before abandoning me in the middle of the forest. I was almost dead when I crawled to the roadside and was rescued by Alpha Toby's car. It was Doctor Kaylie who operated on me then, and when I recovered, Luna Kaylie and Alpha Lucas entrusted me with Adam as his nanny.

Adam, now almost two years old, has grown into a delightful and clever child. His face reflects both Alpha Lucas and Luna Kaylie's features. Even though he's not Luna Kaylie's biological child, as Luna Kaylie and Luna Leah are cousins, their genes undoubtedly passed on to Adam. For those who don't know the full story, it's hard to believe that Luna Kaylie isn't Adam's birth mother.

Blue Sapphire Pack is incredibly fortunate to have Luna Kaylie. She's a competent doctor, kind-hearted, cheerful, and extremely caring. All the omegas working in Alpha Lucas's mansion respect and adore Luna Kaylie, despite her being a hybrid of a werewolf father and a vampire mother.

"Melany... Melany..." Luna Kaylie's voice snaps me out of my thoughts. Adam is already back to playing with his toy cars. "Yeah, Luna," I quickly reply.

"Luna Chiko, Rose, and I are stepping out for a bit, heading to Black Amous Pack. But don't breathe a word to Alpha Lucas. If he asks, and if he happens to stroll into Adam's room during his meetings, just tell him we're off to San Lucas' drive for some retail therapy."

"Why the sudden trip to Black Amous Pack? And if Alpha Lucas catches wind of this, he'll hit the roof," I express my concern.

Luna Kaylie then fills me in on what Omega Inggrid spilled, about Blake's mother planning to unleash black magic to stir up trouble in Blue Sapphire Pack. This would lead to Luna Kaylie leaving the pack, and Alpha Lucas backing out of the alpha king candidacy.

"So, we're on a mission to find a witch to foil this scheme. Remember, keep this hush-hush from Alpha Lucas because he'll undoubtedly put the kibosh on my outing. But I'm telling you this because I'm betting Alpha Lucas will pop into Adam's room around 3 p.m. for a quick play session. If he doesn't find me there, he'll grill you about my whereabouts. So, just say we're indulging in some retail therapy with Luna Chiko and Rose."

""But Luna Kaylie, what if something goes wrong? What if Alpha Lucas finds out? He's not one to take secrets lightly, especially when it involves potential danger with you. And what if Huiwi catches wind of our plans? She's cunning and might exploit any opening she finds. I just don't want any harm to come to you, Adam, or the baby," I express, my concern evident in my voice as I watch Luna Kaylie and Adam share a tender moment.

" Dont worry. We just go for the witch advice . We don't go there for a battle. After we got the clue how to deal with the black magic thing, we will surely plan it with all alpha. We know our limit because of this pregnancy. We'll be back before supper. Promise me, don't spill the beans. Luna Liana's in on the secret too," Kaylie says, extending her pinky finger, signaling for me to seal the deal.

"Got it... Got it... I swear. I don't want Huiwi's threats to turn into reality. I don't want anything bad happening to you and Alpha Lucas, so it's smarter to take precautions before stuff hits the fan.

I say, hooking my pinky finger with Luna Kaylie's.

Luna Kaylie grins. "Bingo, that's exactly what the three of us were thinking," she says, smiling and bending down to plant a soft kiss on Adam's head. "Be good, Adam. Mommy will be back soon."

"Mommy, where you goin'?" Adam chirps in his adorable voice.

"Mommy's off to Black Amous Pack so that we can all, Daddy, Mommy, Adam, and the baby in Mommy's tummy, live happily ever after," Luna Kaylie whispers.

As Luna Kaylie softly murmurs those words to Adam, I feel a surge of both admiration and worry. Watching them, my heart swells with a mix of emotions. Despite the uncertainties looming ahead, their tight-knit family bond will be their guiding light. With a silent prayer for their safety, I understand that their journey is just beginning,
