Lucas POV...

As I observe Kaylie, Rose, and Luna Chiko exchanging playful glances and subtle nods over lunch, it's evident that they're brewing up some mischief. These three women, with their vibrant personalities, light up any room they walk into. Kaylie, in particular, has always amazed me with her boundless energy and infectious positivity. Despite her challenging upbringing in an orphanage, she radiates warmth and joy, refusing to let life's hardships dim her spirit. Her resilience is remarkable, and it's one of the things I admire most about her. Whenever she speaks, her words are laced with humor and wisdom, leaving everyone around her smiling and uplifted. I'll never forget the time she comforted me after the other alphas rejected my candidacy for alpha king. Her suggestion to start the International Foundation for Harmonious and Hilarious Supernaturals not only brought a smile to my face but also reminded me of her unwavering support and belief in me. Kaylie's ability to find light in even the darkest moments is truly extraordinary, and it's one of the many reasons why I'm endlessly grateful to have her by my side.

Jenson, sitting beside me, whispers, "Luc, you must have noticed too, there's something fishy with our wives. I feel like they're planning something."

Alpha Gabriel, seated next to Lucas, overhears and chimes in, "Yeah, I've sensed it too. Those three women have been exchanging looks and signals all afternoon. They're definitely up to something we've forbidden."

"Don't jump to conclusions just yet. Maybe they're just chatting and exchanging ideas on how to counter the evil plans Alpha Alex is brewing, based on the information from Inggrid. As Kaylie explained earlier, Adrien's vision managed to see what happened a few hours before Melany's death," Lucas reassures his friends.

"Right... Don't assume the worst about your wives. They're just excited to catch up after so long, so they're probably sharing stories and ideas. Besides, if they have a plan, Liana would surely let me know," Toby adds, having overheard the whispers. The alphas sitting at the table glance over at their wives seated at the other side of table, then smile at them.

I watch as Kaylie returns my smile and blows me a playful kiss from across the dining table . Her antics never fail to bring a smile to my face. With a chuckle, I call out to her,

Are you guys plotting something behind our backs?" I ask with a smile.

"No," Kaylie quickly responds, but that only heightens my suspicion.

"Nope, not at all, Alpha," Rose chimes in this time.

"Yeah, we just planned to check out the nursery that Alpha prepared for Kaylie's baby," Luna Chiko adds.

"Yeah...yeah... They want to see our baby's nursery, Luc," Kaylie assures me.

"But haven't you seen it enough, Rose? Even our baby's nursery has the exact same design as Kaylie's, because you both insisted on buying everything identical. You said it'd be more economical to buy two," Jenson teases his wife.

"But Luna Chiko hasn't seen it yet. She also wants to buy the same one, thinking maybe buying three can get a wholesale price," Rose says, winking.

"Oh, you women," Toby quips with a laugh. "Your husbands are loaded, especially Lucas. You don't need to hunt for wholesale prices for your baby gear. If you want something custom for yourselves, they can surely arrange that."

"But we want our kids to have the same things, from cribs, pillows, clothes, shoes, and even their baby carriers. We've even planned to enroll them in the same kindergarten, and Luna Chiko plans to give birth at Blue Sapphire Pack hospital as well, just in case she needs a cesarean section because, she said, Uncle Henry's hospital isn't equipped for it," Kaylie explains to Toby.

"Thank goodness Liana gave birth five months ago. Otherwise, my head would be spinning too, because you four definitely want the same things," Toby chuckles, shaking his head.

"Yeah, it's like the three of us are going in circles dealing with our wives' antics," Gabriel laughs too.

"But aren't you happy to have a wife like me, Gabriel?" Luna Chiko teases playfully.

Gabriel just nods and blows a kiss to his beloved wife.

I turn back to Kaylie, my tone more assertive this time. "Kaylie, are you really not planning anything behind our backs? Don't take action without our permission. The black magic issue is utterly illogical. How could Huiwi send black magic to Blue Sapphire Pack when Greystone Pack is so far away? Is she sending it via DHL? Or maybe by helicopter? And even if she wanted to come here herself, it's highly unlikely, given that Blue Sapphire Pack's security system is the most sophisticated and impenetrable. So you don't need to worry or take any action behind our backs to counter Alpha Alex's threats. Handling that is our job as alphas. Three of you, as the Luna and beta females, just need to take care of your pregnancies well to deliver healthy babies for us. Do you understand, Kaylie?"

Kaylie nods but I see, she winks at Luna Chiko.

I gaze at Kaylie, my eyes softening as I speak. "Kaylie, you know I love you more than anything in this world, right? I understand your concern, but I don't want you to stress over things that are beyond our control. Your safety and the well-being of our unborn child are my top priorities. If there's ever a threat, I'll do everything in my power to protect you both. So please, trust me to handle this situation."

Kaylie's eyes meet mine, and she whispers softly, "Thank you for your love, Lucas. But I want us to face all challenges together. I don't want to feel useless even though I'm pregnant. Don't worry too much about me because I can take care of myself and our baby just fine. I'm the ultimate package, you know? A werewolf, a vampire, and a doctor, so I've got this covered." She winks playfully, her confidence shining through. "Besides, who needs a bodyguard when you've got a badass woman , mom-to-be like me?" Her grin is infectious, and I can't help but chuckle at her cheekiness.
