(LISA)
My heart thumped in my chest with adrenaline as a nauseated sickness swirled in my stomach each time I took a step closer to Jennie's home; cursing beneath my breath at my own stupidity for taking Bambam's bet; god was my pride and ego that inflated that I am willing to absolutely crush Jennie's heart? A knot tightened in my stomach as the thought about turning back and telling Bambam to shove this bet up his ass passed through my mind multiple times.
Before I could raise my fist to knock on the door it was swung open and I was greeted by Jennie's mother, it wasn't hard to see were Jennie got her strong Korean feature's.
"Oh my god. Little Lisa Manoban!! Come here, oh I haven't seen you in ages hija. How are you? How’s your mother?" Mrs. Kim enthusiastically spoke pulling me in for a hug planting kisses to my cheeks.
"Hi Mrs. Kim. I'm good, mom is good thank you." I spoke a bit out of comfort.
"Aye good good. We haven't seen you in years. Look at you, how beautiful you've become. No doubt you've broken a few hearts."
"A few" I answered with an unsettling chuckle in my words.
"Oh how rude please come in. I was on my way to work." Mrs. Kim spoke.
"Well I don't want to hold you up, I stopped by to give Jen back her shirt. I was here the other night and ah... she spilled a drink on me." I spoke laughing a bit at the memory.
"Oh so you did stop by! Good; I had told Jennie to invite you but she was so sure you wouldn't come over."
"Yeah, a friend of mine actually told me about it. So thought I would crash." I spoke automatically regretting my choice of words.
"Well I'm glad you did and I'm sure Jennie was thrilled too. I know it's not my place to say but it really upset her that you had to leave." Mrs. Kim spoke seeming hesitant with her choice of words when bringing up the subject.
I was a bit thrown back at the notion that my absence at Melbourne High would have effect Jennie in anyway since we weren't really close.
"Really?" I asked with furrowed brows.
"Yeah, I remember she cried for about three days before she told us what happened." I could hear the heart break in Mrs. Kims words and a sudden pain resonated in my chest. Suddenly I felt like a d**k for yelling at her the other night about us not being friends because part of Jennie believed that we could have been and still believes we can be friends.
"Well I got to be going love. Please make yourself at home, Jennie is in her room and feel free to help yourself to anything. Nice seeing you again, Lisa." Mrs. Kim spoke throwing on her blazer kissing my cheeks once more before running out the front door.
I sighed looking up the stair while debating the notion to leave the shirt on the couch or somewhere it would be seen and book it.
It wasn't too late. Sadly even though it's what my head wanted to do but my heart wasn't complying to its command, working on its own accord.
Jogging up the stairs hoping for this to be a in and out situation I heard the muffled notes of music coming from behind the closed door to Jennie's room, that I had been forced behind not that long ago.
Reaching for the door knob turning it open my eyes landed on a sight I would have never fathomed. My throat went dry at what my eyes were taking in as I stood in the doorway with what I'm sure was slack jaw.
There was a muffled vibrational hum that was being blocked by the music as Jennie lay above the sheets with her knees propped up slightly parted, her tan back arched sporting a few droplets of sweat cascading her form, her hand moving slowly up and down from her black panties that I craved to take off with my teeth when what felt like a cannonball dropped heavily from my chest to my stomach as I felt a rush of wetness invade my boy shorts.
"Oh... god..." Jennie moaned in a hushed whispered over quivering lips. Her eyes squeezed shut, her hips began to buckle as she pushed them up in the air. Her small perky breast rose and fell due to her breathing becoming hitched in her throat groaning. Jennie's deliciously pink n*****s were erected and all I wanted to do was latch my lips to them, sucking and biting the sensitive buds while massaging the tender flesh.
My tongue ran over my drying lips as I continued to watch in a morbid fascination feeling dirty and secretly aroused as she still hadn't seen me.
"Oh.. fuc... Lis..."
Oh god was she... no... no way. Was she thinking about me?
"Ahh... no.." Slowly her eyes started to flutter as she was about to ride out her o****m and part of me wanted to bolt over to the bed and help her reach her c****x, taking away the small vibrating device and using my tongue and fingers instead.
Why the f**k am I still standing here! I shouldn't be witnessing this but my legs refused to move. My heart dropped when Jennie's head turned and eyes opened; landing on me.
"Wha... Lisa? Get... Get out..." Jennie's eyes practically bulged out of their sockets as her hand quickly retreated from between those thick, musculature and suck able thighs of hers.
"Uh.. uh.." I couldn't speak to baffled at the entire moment.
"GET OUT!" Jennie screamed covering her chest and closing her legs.
It wasn't til I saw her free hand grab a near by pillow to chuck it at me; avoiding the projectile object I was able to move from my frozen position. Closing the door behind me.
My heart returned to its normal pace as I shook my head still replaying the sight and noises in my head. I need a drink.
Walking down into the kitchen I grabbed a glass from the strainer filling it up with water from the tap, chugging down at least three glasses of water my body began to cool down after what I had bared witness to. Never in hundred not even a thousand years did I think Jennie Kim took part in self pleasure. With everything I knew with both new and old information I would have assumed she normally felt nothing when it came to that...
Shaking my head trying to find some magical cure to unsee what I saw I was unlucky in trails to remove the image of the stunning girls flawless body. In retro speck makes this bet a bit easier knowing Jennie actually has some kind of s*x drive.
Soon the sound of Jennie's footsteps were heard descending from the stair case as the pitter patter steps grew closer to the kitchen; she approached me with a cold unreadable expression before swatting the side of my shoulder forcefully causing a slight irritated sting.
"First... ouch, and second; please tell me you washed your hands." I laughed out of nervousness which only earned me another slap across the arm.
"Haven't you heard of knocking?"
"Haven't you heard of locking your door?" I replied getting a third slap which was becoming quite annoying.
"What are you doing here Lisa?" Jennie asked seemingly annoyed.
"To give you back your shirt and get mine. Which you are wearing by the way." I answered pointing out that Jennie had on only my shirt that barely past her knees, the first three buttons undone giving a seductive outline to the valley of her bare chest. Again my mouth went dry as I swallowed hard trying to keep my focus.
"Oh." Jennie spoke with a slight blush on her cheeks as she clenches the soft fabric like a child who wouldn't part with their favorite toy.
"Know what keep it. As good as it looks off you it looks just as cute too when you wear it." I spoke with no filter in my words, Jennie raised her hand to hit me again but I swiftly intervene catching her by the wrist.
Annoyed Jennie tried to use her free hand which was caught as well. Growing irritated I backed Jennie up into the fridge with a little more force than needed.
"Stop... hitting me." I growled in a whisper, my lips barely an inch from hers as I kept a distance between our bodies causing her to shiver.
"Let go of me Lisa." Jennie demanded trying to wiggle free. I did nothing but grin at the shorter girl; well there wasn't much of a height difference, I was about 5'6 and Jennie was about 5'3 maybe four.
"Are you deaf? Get your hands off me!" Jennie yelled.
"You sure? It sounded like you wanted me to touch you earlier." I grinned slowly enclosing a space between us; my thumbs rubbing the pulse point in her wrist. Jennie jerked a bit when I dragged a nail slowly down the warm pulsing skin I held between my fingers.
"You wish." She spat.
"Ahh Lis... oh... no ah..." I repeated Jennie's moans in a mocking sort of way as I released her wrist from my hands.
"What an arrogant bitch." She muttered shoving my shoulders.
"Look whose talking! Ms. Perfect. More like a stubborn princess." I scoffed at her insult.
Jennie said nothing but stick her tongue out beneath her teeth smiling; which was actually kind of cute.
"Come on I'm taking you out for breakfast." I declared straightening my posture.
"Why?" She asked skeptically with a lifted brow.
"As an apology for my behavior; and to hopefully take you up on being friends?" I spoke questioning that last sentence.
"Really?" Suspicion clear as glass in Jennie's words.
"Yes, really. Now go put on some pants; or go like that your choice." I laughed wanting to get out of this house and awkward situation. Slowly walking away Jennie wore her suspicious expression, causing an unsettling knot in my stomach.
A few seconds passed and Jennie reappeared still wearing the cotton button up she now tied in a knot above her navel exposing the tone tanned skin with low cut dark denim jeans and black ballerina slips on her feet. She looked so angelic in the simple attire that it was practically other worldly.
"How do I look?" Jennie asked even though she probably knew that she was-
"Cute." The single word dragged from my lips trying to seem uninterested.
"Cute? That's the best you got. Thought you were a sweet talker Lisa, come on charm me" Jennie baited with a giggle in her words.
"Don't test me Jennie." I warned because little did she know I could take this innocent encounter and make it go from 0-100 really quickly with the slightest of actions.
"Or what? You'll s***k me?" She laughed walking towards me.
"You'd like that wouldn't you?" I answered with a grin on my face narrowing my eyes seeming unfazed by her remark; even though after what I just witnessed I was secretly loving the idea of sliding my hands along the smooth bare flesh of Jennie's ass and feel it jiggle.
Jennie said nothing as we just stared at each other waiting for the other to break and admit something. What was it with this girl? Just a few seconds ago she was abusing me in the kitchen because I walked in on her in a personal moment and now the conversation is stirring in that direction. This girl was too confusing.
"Not as much as you would I bet." Jennie finally spoke.
"Well you were the one you wanted to be petted last night." I responded bringing up the drunken text from last night causing a expression of bewilderment to her face.
"What?"
"Oh don't remember? A few moments after I left you started texting me; here." I spoke showing Jennie the brief conversation exchanged between us causing a slight pink blush appeared on the girls cheek.
"Oh my god." Jennie spoke in horror.
"So, you still want me to pet you... or can we get going now?" I asked with a pause in my statement.
"Idiot." Jennie muttered under her breath before shoving my shoulders.
"So violent for such an itty bitty thing." I said laughing bracing myself for whatever brutal act was about to happen.
"You going to make fun of me or can we go?" Jennie asked.
"I can do both." I shrugged causing Jennie to roll her eyes before walking out of the thresh hold of the home waiting for me to get out of the house before shutting the door and locking it behind us as I stood in front of my car waiting for Jennie to make sure everything was secure before stepping off the porch I held the passenger door open as I waited.
"And they say chivalry is dead." Jennie spoke with her hand over her heart as if being shocked.
"Shut up." I scoffed rolling my eyes.
"Yes daddy." Jennie replied with an innocent tone in her words yet wore a wicked grin on her lips as she took her seat.
"Oh hell no. None of that." I said leaning down looking at Jennie from the seat before shutting the door feeling slightly uncomfortable as I settled next to her in the drivers seat, turning the key in the ignition.
"Can I ask you something?" Jennie asked.
"You can but getting an answer is a whole different thing." I spoke with my hands on the wheel and sight straight ahead on the road.
"Well, I mean I use to see you at Melbourne High during cheer practice when you'd pick up your... friends and I always wanted to know how... how you could afford a car like this." Jennie asked seeming a bit nervous.
"It was my grandfathers. He gave it to me after we spent a summer fixing it. It was how we bonded after..." I stopped speaking as a tightening feeling scrunched around my heart.
"After what?" Jennie asked placing a gentle hand on my shoulder sensing my uneasiness.
"It was when everything happened. He didn't know why I was getting bullied to the extent of transferring, then when I came out to him he just had this blank expression before getting up and leaving the room. God I felt so heart broken because he didn't talk to me for days and I was so ashamed and crushed that I had disappointed him for not being 'normal'." I took a slight pause before continuing as I felt more buried feelings starting to bubble in my chest.
"A few days later he swung by and just explained everything to me. I remember just falling into his arms crying til both my eyes and throat burned. It was honestly one of the best summers ever." I answered Jennie's question trying not to choke on my words reminiscing about the summer I knew I would never forget. I was so grateful for my grandfather and how he was so understanding and there to help me with any questions I had.
As we idled at a red light the car was silent expect for the pounding in my ears as I felt my blood rush through them when I felt Jennie's hand place over mine on the gear shift trying to lace our fingers together. Quickly I retracted my hand from hers.
"I'm sorry about that; I'm sorry about everything that happened to you. It was so wrong and uncalled for and-"
"Can we not talk about it Jennie? I'm so over people feeling sorry about it and dragging it up from the deep grave that I try to keep it buried." I spoke cutting her off shifting in my seat as the car started to move again.
The rest of the drive was silent between us, but it was a comfortable silence as the tension had eased amongst her and I as music from the radio filled the quiet gap as from time to time I would hear Jennie sing the lyric's under her breath.
'Yeah I'mma dance my heart out 'til the dawn
But I won't be done when morning comes
Doin' it all night, all summer
Gonna spend it like no other
It was a crush
But I couldn't, couldn't get enough
It was a rush...'
"You like this song?" I asked glancing back and forth between Jennie and the road.
"You don't?" She asked.
"It's okay. Has a good beat." I shrugged finally taking a moment to look at Jennie which was a bad idea as her expression caused a lump in my throat as she continued to serenade me.
Doin' it all night, all summer
Gonna spend it like no other
It was a crush
I kept saying I'mma stay in touch
But that thing went bust
So I gave it up, ooh
No tricks, no bluff
I'm just better off without them cuffs
I couldn't help but laugh at how big of a dork Jennie was being even though it was cute, I thought assuming not many people saw this part of her. Part of me guessed that not even her 'friends' on the cheer team knew this part of Jennie. I only assume on the conclusion of how she seemed the other night at her party; even though we hardly spoke that night before fighting I could tell part of her was closed off as if she was pretending.
"Okay dork we're here." I spoke pulling the key from the ignition as I parked in my usual spot beside the small diner.
"Cisco's diner?" Jennie spoke sounding confused.
"You've never been?" I asked with an amused giggle in my words. How could someone live here their entire lives and never once ate at Cisco's.
"Nope. I mean I've passed by it before but never came in. Guessing you're a regular based of your shocked and disappointed demeanor." Jennie answered looking at me.
"Yeah. Every weekend with my grandfather, we'd wake up early come here and just talk; about anything, everything. There wasn't anything I didn't or couldn't talk to him about." A wave of emotions washed over me as more memories invaded my mind. I could feel tears starting to form behind my eyelid.
"Lisa, You okay?" Jennie's sweet voice rang in my ears pulling me out of whatever trance I was in, her hand resting on my shoulder. What was it about Jennie that made me feel so secure?
Ah! Snap out of this Lisa, remember who the hell you are and finish this foolishness! You have a bet to win and a point to prove. So stop fooling around.
"Peachy. Now come on. I'm hungry." I rudely replied exiting the car and walking my up to the building not caring if I had just left Jennie in the car by herself.
"Thanks for waiting." She spoke racing up from behind me seeming annoyed.
"Anytime." I answered not daring to look at her as I signaled a waitress that a table for two was needed. While avoiding eye contact with Jennie looked everywhere else around the familiar diner which hasn't changed much since the last time I was here; that was probably a little over a year go.
Finally we were guided across the gray ceramic floors and seated at one of many red topped tables in the far back of the diner; a slight tug pulled at my heart when the realization hit me that this was my grandfathers and mine usual booth. It wasn't long til we were greeted by our waitress Sunmi that I have known for many years upon my visits. She still looked very attractive for a girl working as a waitress in a small diner like this.
"Hey cutie, haven't seen you here in a while. How you been?" The wavy blonde asked with her hand resting casual on the table; her hazel brown eyes jumping back between Jennie and I, who I noticed shift in discomfort from her seat.
"Hey babe; things are great. How about you gorgeous?" I asked nonchalantly placing my hand over Sunmi's, witnessing Jennie's jealously slowly bubble.
"Can't complain. Do you know what you'd like to order or would you like a minute so your friend can look over the menu." Sunmi asked politely noting that Jennie was a newbie.
"We'll take a minute. Thank you Sunmi." I smiled sweetly before sending the waitress off with a wink before turning my attention to Jennie who wore a readable expression of annoyance.
"What?" I asked once I caught the brown eyed girl look up at me.
"Nothing. I just didn't know I'd have to vomit before getting to eat."
"What's that suppose to mean?" I asked.
"That if I knew you were going to drag me out of my home so I could watch you flirt with one of your girlfriends I would have passed." Jennie answered bitterly slamming the menu shut shooting me an aggravated look.
"Sunmi isn't one of my 'girlfriends' FYI." I replied crossing my arms leaning over the table.
"Really? From what I witnessed it seemed to be." Jennie rebutted slugging back into the booth.
"It isn't what you think. She's been waitress here since I was young; also she's married with a kid if it pleases you to know Ms. Conclusion Jumper." I snickered enjoying putting Jennie on the spot.
"So then what was all that about?" Jennie proceeded her questioning.
"Just to get under your skin and make you jealous." I shrugged answering truthfully.
"And what makes you think I'd be jealous?" Jennie leaned in living what little space was provided from the table waning. I said nothing just smiling as I knew that my antic got to Jennie wither she was willing to admit it or not.
Few moments later Sunmi reappeared taking our orders, which actually became me ordering for the both of us since Jennie couldn't make a decisions, but since I had a get talent for reading people I knew that Jennie would like what I suggested being surprised that I had picked burgers for breakfast. Moments passed were neither one of us said a thing.
"Must be nice." I heard Jennie comment after a few moments of silence.
"What?" I asked questionable as my eyes still skimmed over the menu, despite the fact that we had already ordered.
"Being the object of lust to a majority of the population." She answered, that remark alone caused my gaze to rise with furrowed brows. Jennie titled her head to motion towards another table across from us; the spectators heads shooting down after being caught, "They've been gawking at you for nearly seven minutes." Jennie continued.
"Why do you automatically assume they're looking at me?" I questioned placing the menu down.
"Well you're... you're Lisa Manoban." Jennie spoke timidly looking down at her hands after the waitress had sent our food on the table.
"So? You're Jennie Kim. They could be looking at you just as well as me." I answered.
"Why?" Jennie said making the clarity of her lack self confidence puzzling to me if not upsetting. Does she really not see it?
"Okay, I know you're not one to indulge in vanity Saint Jen but you are really beautiful; gorgeous even." I spoke genuinely smiling at her.
"You're such a bullshitter." Jennie scoffed not believing me.
"True, but not in this case. Not in this moment with you." I answered.
"Give me an example." Jennie boldly asked.
"Excuse me?" I asked a little confused at what she was proposing.
"Name one thing about me that's beautiful and maybe, MAYBE I'll consider the notion you aren't trying to screw me." Jennie replied with a bit more confidence in her voice.
"Your eyes." I answered sharply.
"My bland everyday blah brown eyes? That's what you pick?" Jennie spoke with a closed off demeanor radiating from her body language.
"Your eyes aren't just brown Kitten." I spoke taking a sip of my coffee.
"Oh really so what color are they Lisa?" Jennie asked with a smirk on her face, challenging me as if I had no better explanation.
"Well... from afar yes your eyes appear to be chocolate brown but up close; like this, they're more hazel and when the light shines on them I swear your eyes become a warm golden brown; like honey and you... you have specks of green around the iris. Think I adore that about them the most" I paused in my explaining becoming entranced in the astonishing eyes of the girl sitting across from me as a wave of tension grew as I stayed silent still gazing into Jennie's eyes.
"Really?" Jennie asked as sheer pink blush skimmed across her cheeks.
"Yeah, then they turn black when you're horny too." I spoke idiotically trying to quell the moment as I avoided her gaze.
"Way to kill a moment Lisa. Bravo." Jennie chuckled clapping her hands.
"Thank you." I nodded as if to bow and stealing a fry from her plate.
"Hey. That's mine! Back off Manoban!" Jennie protested swatting my hand from her plate laughing.
"You snooze you loose Kitten." I winked. Once again I saw the faint but not able blush come across Jennie's face and I thought it was so cute if not adorable at how innocent she was. Part of me felt like it was an act though, I mean with how much we're exposed to with media, movie's. Hell even books there's no way I can one hundred percent believe that the girl in front of me was another Saint Teresa. Well they do say the quite one's are the kinkiest in the bedroom, so who knows maybe there's more to Jennie Kim than meets the eye; which in that case I would love to get acquainted with and judge for myself.
"Still can't believe you eat burgers for breakfast." Jennie spoke shaking her head disapprovingly.
"Not just any burger my love, a Cisco's anytime brunch burger; with romaine lettuce, tomato slices, red onion. The patty with melted cheese and indulging our tongue with two slices of bacon and a fried egg topped with avocado slices finally being placed between the sliced ciabatta buns brushed with olive oil and grill just until lightly toasted." I said admiring the art form as my taste buds went wild causing my mouth to water before taking the first bite in what was surely burger heaven which caused my eyes to shut and roll back; god this burger was s*x for my taste buds.
"What ever you say Chief Lisa. Didn't know you were so passionate about food." Jennie spoke still looking at the burger.
"Try it." I spoke motioning to the burger as juices from mine dripped down my chin trying to whip the juice's clear. Sitting in patience I observed the smaller girl going through a battle of thoughts about the food.
Jennie finally took hold of the burger in her manicured hands slowly bringing it to her lips before taking a bite; a smile soon presented on her lips as her eyes sparkled.
"Oh my god! It’s delicious!" Jennie exclaimed taking another bite.
"Told you it was good." I raised my eyebrows enjoying my victorious moment watching Jennie starting to indulge in the burger.
Once we had finished practically inhaling our burgers I spulged the idea of chasing them down with a few milkshakes. I had feeling that the former cheerleader was probably cursing me in her thoughts as I was probably ruining her figure before driving her back home.
The car ride was seemingly pleasing unlike it had been before as we jammed to whatever catchy songs came on the radio singing a bit off tune since my attention was mostly maintained on the road and other drivers.
Finally, I pulled up to Jennie's home idling in the driveway as I looked at brunette who seemed a bit aloof with a sullen expression on her face as if she was debating whether or not to get out of the car ending whatever this was.
Secretly I wanted her to stay and tell me to put the car in reverse and go find something else to do since I didn't want this day to end either.
"You okay Kitten?" I spoke turning the radio off.
"Huh? Yeah, just thinking." Jennie answered coming back from where ever she just was.
"Penny for your thoughts."
"It's nothing. Thank you for... the unexpected morning Lisa. I had a great time and breakfast was delicious." Jennie said undoing her belt before opening the car door.
"We'll have to do it again soon." I replied leaning forward smiling at the girl who stood outside of my car.
"I'll hold you up on that." Jennie smiled back before shutting the car door making her way up to the her door.
"See you soon." I whispered pulling out of the driveway once Jennie disappeared behind the closed door.
