BOOK ONE
“Well, well, well, what do we have here?”
I swallowed and backed up as he advanced towards me. I knew this was a bad idea but Kate had made me do it.
“It isn’t what it looks like.”
I wanted to smack myself for saying that. Of course it was exactly how it looked like. There was no way to explain why I was in his room.
“Really? Because from where I am standing, it looks like you broke into my house,” his eyes darted to my hands and his eyebrows arched as he crossed his hands across his chest. “And stole my briefs.”
Shit, shit, shit. I really was screwed and nothing I said would get me out of this. I was utterly royally screwed.
What happens when the school’s hottest bad boy catches you in his room with his briefs?
Macy Miller,
Your average student with average looks. She is the utter definition of average and she wears it with confidence, or all she lies to pretend. I mean, what else could the daughter of two high-achieving parents and two high-achieving brothers who never fail to make her feel bad for not being as smart as they are.
That all changes with a dare gone wrong.
Keith Michaels,
The literal definition of I-don’t-care. Laid back and always causing trouble but his mum is always there to get him out of it. But instead of helping, all she does is make things worse but that changes when a little surprise shows up in his room.
Snarky comments, stolen kisses, midnight drives and breaking-and entering, what could possibly go wrong?

Aydan was a blazing fire, come too close to him and risk being burnt. He was what parents warned their children to stay away from. From his ridiculously good looks to his utterly smart mouth, Aydan had it all. However, there was one thing he did not do, and that was be attached to anyone. Then he met Neva, she was everything he was not and he could not help but want her and her innocence.
Neva had one plan: get through college with no distractions and not get into trouble. Sounds simple enough, wrong!
In a bid to raise money for her tuition, Neva agreed to work as an assistant but what she did not know was just what she was getting herself into. Then she met Aydan, smart, very out-going and ridiculously hot BUT a huge player with no regard for any of his actions. He was a raging fire that burnt everything it touched and Neva knew well enough to stay away or risk being burnt in the process. And she planned to stay away from him at all costs.
But what happens when fire meets ice? Will the fire melt the ice or will the ice quell the blazing fire?
Clearing his throat, Kyle decided to just rip the band aid as fast as possible. “Why do you want to die?” he asked in a husky voice as he gently shoved her against the locker and pinned her in.
Akina swallowed, hard. “You read my journal didn’t you?” she asked instead, not able to meet his eyes.
“Yes I did. Now tell me, why? Why do you want to die so much huh?”
She quickly glanced at him before looking away. “It’s complicated,” she said in a whisper looking at her feet.
“Bullshite.” Kyle was getting angry. He just couldn’t understand. He ran a frustrated hand through his hair as he stared at her, “fine! Then give me 30-days. 30-days to show you that life is worth living. If I can’t prove to you that life is worth living, then you can kill yourself and I won’t try to stop you.” He used his index finger to gently lift her chin up and they stared at each other.
“Okay,” she bit her lip.
