"Take this!" The student tried to shoot the other one.     "Go away liar!" He exchange shots with the other guy.     All of a sudden, I decided to show myself. They were surprised at first but, they didn't paid attention to me.     "Don't bother us. You'll just get killed."     I somehow got irritated. I didn't bothered them and did what I wanted. I haven't planned on what to do but, I ran on the closest guy to me.     He haven't realized me in the first place as he was too caught up with the other guy that's pointing his gun to him.     Finally, I made my way to the guy and grabbed his arm. I turned my back against him and made him lie on it. Luckily, his grip to the gun loosen up and I managed to catch it.     In pain, the guy behind me fell into the ground. I started to point the gun away to show that everything's fine now.     "Stop!" I shouted.     "I won't stop unless you kill that guy!"     He pulled the trigger. I moved as fast as I can to avoid the laser. Suddenly, I realized that the guy behind me was still lying on the ground.     Time didn't allowed the guy to make a move. The laser passed through his elbow until reaching a wall. Blood splatters. It was... Brutal.     "I said stop!"     I aimed carefully at the guy's gun. I should make his gun throw away so no further casualty could happen.     I breathe heavily. Slowly, I pulled the trigger. Everything slows down. As if I could see what's happening around. Will it hit the gun? Or maybe the guy?     When the laser hit the gun, a group of guards suddenly appeared. I guess I was lucky this day huh.     I checked for the guy whose elbow was hit. He was lying on the ground unconscious. Blood still travels outside his body. Will he be safe?     "What are you guys doing! Don't you know that you might kill each other?!" One of the guards shouted.     "I just stopped this two guys from fighting. It looks like they have a problem to each other. And also, the other guy seems like got hit by the laser." I said.     "He is the one who started the fight!"     One of them kept on exclaiming words. I decided to leave the place and went back to my room.     Loraine appeared right after I left the place. I was surprised. Was she looking at me this whole time?     "Oh hey. Did you saw the situation?"     "Ah that? Yeah. I was about to talk to you but realized what's happening so I sent the guards there for them to stop the fight."     I smiled. Luckily, she was looking out for me. If the guards didn't came sooner, I'm sure more danger could appear out of nowhere.     "Oh by the way, what do you want to talk to me?"     I asked in curiosity. Well, she returned to the school grounds just to tell me something. It could be something important right?     "Ah yeah. Well recently, my phone battery is dead. I was just thinking if the network in your phone is still working..."     I reached out my phone in my pocket. I turned on the mobile data to check some news. In my surprise, it's still working.     "So the satellites still works huh."     "Could you check the latest news?"     "Yeah sure."     I scrolled my phone to an internet browser. I searched for the latest news to see what's currently happening.     In my surprise, there's no such thing as news. The latest one was May 12, 2025. A day before the apocalypse. It must be because the news company already shut down.     "There's none."     Loraine somehow looks troubled. She was really reluctant on knowing the situation outside. I decided to check the social media to see what's currently happening.     The moment I opened the app, I already saw different photos and videos from people around the world. Mostly, It consist of asking for help while some are saying that they are safe. There's also photos of building on fire and the chaos on highways.     "The social media are working."     "What?! Let me see."     I lend Loraine my phone. Her eyes widened. She then started searching for something. I'm not sure what it is.     "Just like what I thought..."     Loraine gave back my phone. She then went straight to her room. While me, I'm here standing in this school grounds.     I checked the search history of my phone. I then realized what Loraine knew. I found out that she searched for her parent's account. Unluckily, there's no such thing as post or any signs that her parents are alive.     "Help! Help! I need shelter! Please let me enter!" Someone cried.     "What was that!"     "Wait. That voice. It's familiar..."     The voice was coming from the other side of the metal wall. I don't know what to do. As far as I know, we can't let anyone enter our school for we don't have any idea if that person is infected.     "I'm not infected I swear! I escaped a hoard of zombies out here! Please, let me have a break!" She explained.     Ah! What should I do! I can't just let her in like that. But no! A survivor out there have seen the chaos outside. I'm sure she could help us knowing the situation that we haven't knew about.     I took out my gun and aimed it at the metal walls. I don't even know if this is the right thing to do.     "Back off! I will start shooting this metal thing!" I shouted.     Little by little, the walls melted with the laser bullet. It slowly created a hole which I think she could fit     "Thank you! Thank you! I don't know what I should do in return. Wait. CJ?"     In my surprise, it was Christine. Our classmate during grade school. She was a friend of Loraine that time.     "Hi?" I said.     "Waah!" Christine exclaimed     Christine then cried. I guess I did the right thing... She was sure lucky surviving the world outside.     "What the have you done!" Ahllen shouted.     "Wait Ahllen I'll explain this stuffs." I said.     "What if she was infected!" He added.     "Christine is my friend during grade 6. I'm sure that we could trust her." I explained.     "I'm not... Bitten." Christine said.     Ahllen is shocked. Even I would be shocked if a human from outside just entered this place.     "Ahllen... We could cover this up. I have some extra uniform in my bag. She can use it. We could fix the walls and everything will be fine."     Loraine was behind us the whole time. She again appeared out of nowhere. It was like she knew already what's happening which is why she explained those stuffs.     "Okay. But when the both of you got caught, I will be out of that." Ahllen said.     "Yeah sure." I replied.     I started to fix the walls. The guards returned from the world outside and they found some foods in a supermarket. It gave us more time to live in this place. What if all of the guards died... Who will start to loot places for more food. Thinking of us exploring the chaos outside gives me fear.
