Detective Porter

Justice and revenge are my two favorite words. They are very similar to each other and in some cases can mean the same thing. I wasn't always this way but after one fateful night I changed for the better. One night when I was seven years old I was at my grandma's house being babysat by my cousin, Jake who at the time was 17, when all of a sudden these men come in and take him from me. I shouted for him and went after him but a very tall man held me back as the men threw him into this big black SUV. He kept telling me that I wouldn't have to worry about anything and that my cousin was going to be safe with him. He kept telling me not to tell anyone what happened and to tell my grandma that he ran away. The man soon left in the same SUV that held my kidnapped cousin. I cried and yelled even running after the SUV for a few seconds but it sped off faster then my little legs could carry me. That night my grandma found me a couple of minutes from her home with a whole search party out looking for me and my cousin. The cops were all over the place looking for us. No one knew what had happened that night because I fell into a state of shock and went into a coma for 2 months. Everyone had presumed that my cousin had been kidnapped or ran away. The cops never once talked to me saying it was a cold case and that there was no need to investigate further. After being released from the hospital a week after awaking from my comma I was watching the news with my mother and just as I was about to change the channel to Spongebob a certain story had come on. It was a new company that was rising quickly into money. That companies owner just so happened to come across the screen and I realized that it was the same tall man who had kidnapped my cousin. That man is the owner of Cortes Inter prize, Mr. Luis Cortes. From that day forward I swore that I would take down him and his company. Now 17 years later and I am now a detective with the San Francisco police department. I have worked hard to get to where I am and I am very proud that I have come this far. I work day in and day out with the case of Valentino Cortes and trying to bring him and his family business down. Even though I know for a fact that his company isn't just a banking business, I have no actual evidence I can use in a court of law. My one mission is to find something that will help me take down Mr. Cortes even if it cost me my life in doing so. I will get my revenge and give my cousin justice.
