CHAPTER 2

(AZMARIE'S POV)

I woke up to my phone ringing next to me.

"Hello." I answered with my eyes still closed.

"Marie, it’s me Lexi. I was calling to ask if you got my email?" Lexi said as I sat up and rubbed the sleep out of my eyes.

"Umm... let me check." I said and got off the bed.

I walked out of the room to the living room where I left my laptop.

I opened the bag and pulled it out. I waited for it to load and clicked on the internet icon.

"Which email did you send it to?" I asked her,

"Umm, Azmarie.Brown12511@gmail.com." She said, (Not a real email... I think.)

I went to my email and clicked on that email. I had five unread emails as I searched for her. I found it and clicked it.

So she was in Tirana which was the capital of Albania.

"What are you doing in Tirana?" I asked her,

"Charlie is from there." Lexi said,

I shook my head and read on.

She wanted her wedding to be Victorian era style with a mask ball as the reception and to have fireworks at the end. The location is in the Tirana International and Conference Center.

"Not a bad a place." I stated as I looked through the details.

"Thank you. Charlie chose it." She said,

"I have got to meet this Charlie." I said,

"Oooh, I have got to try the Turkish Bath there." I said more to myself.

"Great, when will you be here?" She asked,

"Umm... give me until next week." I said,

The Jacobs wedding is on Friday and today is Tuesday and I could catch a plane to Tirana on Sunday morning.

"OK, we'll see you at the Tirana hotel." She said and there was some noise coming from her background.

"I'll call you later Marie, I'm taking care of Charlie's nephew." She said,

"OK, bye." I said and hung up.

I checked my other four messages and went to get ready afterwards.

"Gee, thanks for waking me up, Lexi." I grumbled as I checked the time which was 6:30 a.m.

I was in the closet looking through the new clothes that I bought.

I pulled out a black short sleeve silky dress where its neckline and middle back reached the neck and was see through at the top, a long sleeved white coat that had black cottons and stopped above my knees about the same as the dress, but a bit longer, black pumps that had small silver chains at the back, and a white leather handbag that was black on the sides, and a light pink wrist watch.

I applied on some black eye shadow, black mascara, and red lipstick. I left my hair out wavy.

Once I was ready and had all of the necessary things in my bag, I walked out to the living room and grabbed my laptop bag.

There was a knock on the door and I went to see who it was.

"Good morning, Ms. Brown. I'm here to assist you with you bags." The same bell boy from yesterday said politely and bowed a little.

"Good morning and thank you. You can hold this since its the only thing I need today." I said, handing him my laptop bag.

I stepped out of the room and closed and locked the door. We walked down the brightly lit hallway to the elevator.

"There's a buffet this morning in the dining area part of the hotel." The bell boy said,

"I guess I could use something sweet." I said,

"Will there be chocolate pancakes and strawberries?" I asked,

"I believe so." He said,

"I guess we could go." I said shrugging,

We reached the lobby and I walked a bit faster to the dining area with the boy trailing behind me.

The dining room was filled with people sitting at tables and standing at the buffet area. The bell boy led me to an empty table where he pulled out the chair for me.

I smiled at him for his nice gesture and sat down and sat my bag on the floor next to my foot.

"I'll be happy to get you your breakfast so you won't have to stand at the line." He said, smiling at me.

"Thank you. I'd like chocolate pancakes with strawberries and orange juice with no pulp, please." I said and he walked off to get what I wanted.

My phone started to ring and I saw that it was Maria calling me.

"Good morning Maria." I said once I answered the phone.

"Good morning Ms. Brown. The late requests for the Jacobs are done and her dress has arrived." Maria informed me,

"Good. Call the flower shop and make sure that the flowers I asked for have arrived and the crown is done." I said as I touched the ornaments on the table.

"OK." She said and heard her fast typing.

"I'll be there in about half an hour." I said,

"OK, I'll make sure everything is prepared and done by the time you get here." Maria said,

"Thank you, Bye." I said as I saw the bell boy came up with my food which made me smile brightly.

"Here you go." He said as he sat my plate down in front of me.

My mouth immediately watered at the sight of my delicious breakfast.

I dug in and quickly finished and I drank my juice and sighed as I slightly slouched in my chair.

"Best breakfast ever." I said,

"I'm glad you like it." The boy said, handing me a napkin which I thankfully took.

We soon left the dining room and we were now waiting for Albert. He soon pulled up and I thanked the bell boy for his help and got in.

"Good morning, Ms. Brown. You seem happier than usual this morning." Albert said, looking at me through the view mirror.

"I had chocolate pancakes with strawberries this morning." I said, grinning, but suddenly missing it.

Albert chuckled and told me the daily news, weather, and asked if I wanted to do anything today. We reached the office and I thanked Albert as he helped me out the car.

I walked into the office and said good morning to everyone.

"Hello Maria is everything done?" I asked as I reached her desk that was in front of my office.

"Yes. The flower shop has the flowers and someone is retrieving them and the crown is almost done. They are putting the last diamonds on it." She said,

"Good, send any calls I get to directly to me." I said and walked into my office.

I laid my bag on the desk and took off my coat. Once it was neatly hanged on the coat rack, I sat down and checked all the things for the wedding.

"Four days until the wedding." I mumbled to myself.

Wedding Day.

"OK, Mariah, you look gorgeous." I said, stepping back to fully examine the bride.

She had on a white tube like dress that spread out at the bottom and was tight like a corset at the top.

It had specks of real diamonds all over the top layer and was soft and silky on the bottom layers. Her hair was styled up into a bun with the tiara resting neatly in the front that was holding the vail over her face. Her makeup was done lightly and nicely complements to the stylist.

"Oh I'm nervous. What if he says no." She said nervously and fanned herself.

"Nonsense. That man loves you. Just look at all the money he spent just so that you could have your dream wedding." I said slightly shaking her back to reality.

"Ms. Brown, everyone is seated, and the groom is at the altar." Maria said, walking into the room with a clipboard and walkie-talkie in her hand.

"OK thank you, Maria." I said and turned back to the calmer bride.

"Are you ready?" I asked her,

I can't have her fainting or running away while walking down the alter.

"Yes, I love James and I want to marry him." She said, nodding her head and I squeezed her hand reassuringly.

"Good because I can't have you running away or fainting." I joked,

"Let's go." I said and I guided her to the doors of the church where her dad was waiting.

I handed her to him and the music started and the doors opened. I trailed behind them as they slowly walked down the aisle like we practiced on Wednesday.

Her dad gave her to the groom and the midget priest began to say the words that he's supposed to say.

Soon after the priest stopped talking and they both said "I do". Great everyone was happy and now for the ceremony.

The ceremony was going great. The servers brought in drinks, there was enough food, the bride and groom were happy feeding each other, until of course one of the bride's uncle got drunk and decided to have some cake which he ended having the cake falling on him.

Servants quickly took him away to get cleaned up and rest while some cleaned the mess.

It was a good thing I made sure to order to two cakes just in case something happened to the first one. Now it was time for the bride and groom's speech.

"I would like to thank everyone for coming here to our wedding. I love you all and even met some of James's family. I wanted to thank my mom for being there for me every step of the way. Without you, I would have accidentally killed James because I tried cooking for him. I would also like to thank Ms. Azmarie Brown. You did an outstanding job with this wedding. I would've done it myself, it I don't think I could find someone to make me a tiara with real diamonds. You're the best." The bride said her speech and everyone clapped and I hugged her and welcomed her.

"Now I guess it’s my turn for my speech. I would like to thank my mom and dad for accepting Mariah and loving her like I do. As much as I would love to stay here all night and spend it with you guys, I really want to go my honeymoon where I'll finally get laid after a very long time and having to substitute for the real thing." The groom said and everyone laughed and whistled.

"I would also like to thank everyone for coming today and thank Ms. Brown. You did an awesome job with this wedding. Half of the time I didn't understand a word you said when talking about choosing the material and if I wanted some s**t that I didn't know. If it wasn't for you we wouldn't have a second cake and I wouldn't be going to Hawaii. I mean how cool would it be to have s*x in Hawaii." The groom finished his speech and the meal course began.

The ceremony lasted about three more hours which was because the groom got impatient and ran off with the bride to the airport for their plane flight to Hawaii.

I talked to the hotel manager and paid the bill for the wedding and said good bye to all the guests.

I was just really glad they were having the wedding in the same hotel I was staying in and I gladly walked into my hotel room with my heels in my hand and a glass of champagne in the other.

I downed the liquor and set the glass on the table and walked into the bedroom and threw my heels on the floor.

I peeled off the dress and spent a few minutes trying to take off the makeup and took a shower.

I signed in relief when I finally laid on the bed where I fell asleep almost immediately.
