Chapter 8

“I’m sorry, Master.” You said.

Joseph Edward wipes your tears with his hand.

“I'm glad that you know. You are forgiven.” Joseph Edward said.

Joseph Edward holds you tight, and you feel he is in pain when he sees your tears.

Jest then you see Jessie stand up and walk slowly toward Joseph Edward to attack him.

“Joseph Edward! Be careful! ”You cried out.

You exclaim, but you know it's too late. However, just when Jessie is about to hurt Joseph Edward, she is entangled with a whip around her neck and can't move. You take a closer look and find Bella is holding Jessie back with the whip. Bella's eyes widen in hatred.

Joseph Edward turns and kicks Jessie hard. Jessie falls to the floor and unable to move.

Bella’s eyes are transfixed with terror, and her body is shaking uncontrollably with the whip in her hand. At the same time, you find yourself can move again.

You quickly get up and pull Bella into your arms.

“It’s okay. It’s okay. It’s all over.” You said.

Bella keeps breathing deeply, in an effort to calm herself down.

You then run to Joseph Edward and lift up his shirt to examine him.

“What are you doing?” Joseph Edward said.

“Let me see if you're hurt.” You said.

“I'm all right.” He frowned.

“I didn’t know you could fight like that.” You said.

“You've forgotten who I am again!” He frowned.

“Yes, my master is so handsome today!” You said.

Joseph Edward still keeps a straight face, but you can see a self-satisfied smirk on his face.

“Let’s go!” He said.

“We can’t just leave Bella here alone.” You said.

“Bring her with us, I will send her back to Albright.” Joseph Edward said.

“Can’t we let her go?” You said.

“It’s impossible. I can’t run away from him.” Bella said.

Joseph Edward takes you and Bella to the car. Bella stares out the window and doesn't say anything on your way back.

“ Hey, Bella, are you all right?” You’re worried about her.

“I'm okay.” She said.

“Are you afraid to go back to Albright?” You said.

“No, Prince Albright is my master. I should stay by his side.” She said.

“Do you mean what you say?” You said.

Bella raises her hand helplessly and shows you her bracelet.

“Yes, I am Prince Albright's slave. I'm willing to do everything for him.” She said.

When you see Bella's bracelet, you suddenly realize that your conversation is probably being monitored. Joseph Edward hands you a piece of paper and a pen.

Joseph Edward is so smart. Albright won't know if we communicate by writing. You thought like this.

You write on the paper: 'How long will you be Albright's slave?'

You pass the note to Bella, and she writes a few words and gives it back to you. You are speechless with sorrow and astonishment when you see the note.

The note says 'for my life.'

“I can't imagine what it's like to live a lifetime around a pervert like Albright.” You frowned and thought.

You take the pen and paper and try to think of something to reply to her.

You write on the paper: "Have you ever tried to run away?'

Bella writes on the paper for a while and gives it back to you.

"I have not, but I have seen how Albright dealt with people who have ran away and been caught back. Believe me, no one will ever want to run away after seeing what Albright did to them."

Yeah, Albright is the prince of this country, who dares to go against his wills...

You notice Bella's hands tremble with fear. You hold her hands and try to comfort her.

You look at Bella and feel sorry for her. Soon, you feel that she looks familiar as if you have seen her somewhere. You try to recall in your head.

You believed that you must have seen her somewhere!

You stare at Bella and think hard. Suddenly, the shadows of tree branches cast on the pillow behind Bella like a bunny's ears.

“Yeah! The Bunny Girl! The story that Jim wrote was illustrated by Bella!” You recalled.

You quickly take the pen and paper and write: 'have you ever been interviewed by a journalist?'

Bella takes the paper and is shocked that you know about it, she writes a few lines and hands the paper back to you.

'Yes, that journalist seemed to be a good man, and the interview was my last free moment."

That's right! She is the girl Jim interviewed last time!

Just as you're about to ask for more details, the car is already at Albright's palace.

“Here we are.” Joseph Edward said.

“Thank you. I need to go to my master.” Bella said.

You don't know what to say, so you just nod to Bella; she gets out of the car, leaving you and Joseph Edward alone.

“You just have to be my slave for a month, whether you like it or not, but it'll be over soon.” Joseph Edward said.

“Thank you, master.” You said.

When you wake up in the morning and find yourself in bed with Joseph Edward, your heart can't help but flips by the sight of the sleeping Joseph Edward. After these few days, you find yourself in love with this man and willing to be his slave, even if it is for life.

“Master, it's dawn.” You said.

You push Joseph Edward gently, and he takes a look at you and closes his eyes.

“Come with me later.” Joseph Edward said.

“I'll follow you wherever you go, master.” You said.

“I'll make you satisfied today.” Joseph Edward said.

Joseph Edward takes you to Derek's auction room, where Derek and Jessie are waiting for you on the couch.

“Oh, Mr. Joseph Edward, it's a great honor to have you with us.” Derek smiled.

“ I respect you, so I will definitely be here to meet you.” Joseph Edward said.

“Hello, Mr. Joseph Edward.” said Jessie.

Joseph Edward ignores Jessie and takes a seat. You stand obediently next to him.

“I've heard about last night. It's just a misunderstanding. Let Jessie explain.” Derek said.

“Well, we were just trying to train your slave, though it might seem a little extreme. You can rest assured that we do things in a measured way.” Jessie smiled and said .

“ Oh, really? Let's also hear the story from my slave.” Joseph Edward said.
