“Look Jessica, you know how much I care about you, but this has to stop. I need to work things out with my mate. Our actions almost caused her death today, and it made me realise that I need her. I’m sorry but you know I will always be there for you as your friend” I say gently.
“I love you Lucian, you said she was just some girl you were forced to marry, and you didn’t want to. Why did you string me along?” she says, crying.
