Cheating mate

Chapter 5

I have been stuck in this place for 2 weeks now it’s not all bad. I have made a couple of friends. I get along great with Nadia and Lisa. We have spent a lot of time together.

I have kept up with my training and have joined in with the packs training, too. The fact that they can’t sense Athena, but I have beaten most of them, has been quite the shock to them.

Athena now agrees with me that she wants nothing to do with our mate after feeling the pains from him cheating on us several times, Shawn the Gamma has found us each time and tried to help ease it but there is not much that he can do about it.

I can tell Shawn is starting to get pi.ssed off with Lucian about it.

As far as I am concerned, he just proved me right. Thankfully, I have always been on my own when it has happened so far.

I am walking past Lucian’s office when I see him with some bimbo hanging off him. I make a derisive snort and roll my eyes on my way past.

“Who do you think you are? You should be giving your Alpha respect” a shrill voice says.

“He doesn’t deserve my respect, and you have no place talking to me. I am not listening to a sl.ut who throws herself at married men” I retort.

“You little bi.tch” she shrieks while rushing towards me to hit me.

I grab her hand and slap her hard before I feel a punch to my face, knocking me to the ground.

Shawn comes around the corner at that moment and rushes towards me. Seeing my swollen eye and bleeding nose, he starts to pick me up while Lucian looks shocked at what he has done.

“Sh.it I didn’t mean to do that” he says.

“Fu.ck off Lucian, you were defending your sl.ut, it is not like you stopped her from hitting me, but when I defend myself, you break my nose” I shout.

“You did this? I didn’t think you would stoop this low. You are causing enough pain with the cheating, and now that is not enough. You are resorting to physical violence? Aurora is staying away from you. What more do you fu.cking want from her? I thought I knew you. You are not the person I thought you were. Come on Aurora let’s get you seen to” he shouts at Lucian before gently speaking to me.

“Aurora I didn’t mean” Lucian starts

“I don’t want to hear it, go see to your bimbo” I say before walking away with Shawn.

“Let’s get you to the hospital” Shawn says.

“No they will ask too many questions it won’t look good. It’s not the first time I have re set my nose it will be fine. You don’t have to worry about me” I reassure him.

"Let me at least help you to your room and make sure it’s set properly. We can’t spoil that pretty face” he teases.

“Fine” I laugh.

“I don’t know what Jessica is doing back here. She obviously heard about the wedding and wanted to cause trouble” he says while setting my nose.

“I take it you have known her for a while?” I ask.

“Since we were kids, she has always tried to get her claws into Lucian. They had a fling years ago. Lucian seems oblivious to her bad points she always acts sweet and innocent around him” he complains.

“She sounds like a peach, I should get used to more pain if she’s here now and planning on sticking around then. Do you think Lucian will finally reject me and let me free?” I ask.

“I don’t know he is completely ignoring the issue, I don’t want to sound selfish, but I don’t want you to leave. You should be Luna. I think I would leave with you if that irritating bi.tch was made Luna” he admits, grimacing.

“I can’t promise anything, I can’t stand Lucian he’s a di.ck” I laugh.

Another week goes by, and as I thought, the pains increased to every night. I am getting used to them unfortunately I am having to wear more makeup as its showing that I am getting less sleep.

I decided to take a walk in the woods round the pack to be alone and clear my head.

I get a smell of rogues, sh.it Lucian hasn’t bothered to make me a pack member, so I can’t alert anyone, and they are too close to me to get away. I will have to shift and fight. There are 5 of them, and none of them are too big, at least not next to Athena, who is as big as a male Alpha wolf.

I go straight in and attack them, quickly tearing out the throat of the biggest one before they can get to me. I then s***h another’s throat and toss one by the tail into a tree. Aurora is fast and powerful. The other two attack at once. I dodge one and jump on the others back and decapitate it. The one that hit the tree is coming round again just as the cheating pains start again.

Sh.it, I really don’t need this right now as I am distracted. One of them claws down my side while the other bites my leg. I feel like this is it when a wolf bursts through the trees from its scent I can tell its Shawn he attacks and kills the wolves as I turn back luckily my clothes stay in place a perk of my wolf possibly I don’t totally understand, it hasn't happened before.

“Sh.it Aurora, we need to get you to the hospital. What happened? How do you have a wolf?” he says, panicked.

“Don’t tell anyone about Athena, I would have got them, but Lucian just had to have fun at my expense, not good timing at all” I joke.

“At least you can still joke, I will keep it to myself for now. I am going to kill him” he says.

“Don’t bother telling him, I don’t want to see him. That's if he would even care anyway” I say.

“Ok I will let Luna Nadia know, she may tell him”

“Ok let me be seen first so I get a bit of peace first, and his mum doesn’t have to walk into anything. They are still at it” I say.

“Fu.cking bas.tard he should feel that you are hurt” he growls.

“He’s not worth getting angry over” I sigh.

We made it to the pack hospital, and Shawn gently places me on a bed so the Dr can look at me. The claw marks are already healing well. The bite was really deep, so they decided to stitch it to help heal it quicker and want me to stay in overnight.

I am now all cleaned up and sporting a lovely hospital gown when Nadia and Lisa walk in to give me a huge hug.

After they have both triple checked that I am fine, they finally calm down. Shawn and I tell them what happened, leaving out the part of me being in wolf form. Lucian bursts through the door, looking in a panic just when we are finished. Shawn punches him in the face as soon as he steps close to me.

“What the fu.ck was that for?” he snarls at him.

“She almost died because of you, you bas.tard” he growls.

“What do you mean?” he says, looking pale.

“I was attacked by 5 rogues, I had killed 3 when I yet again felt the pains of you cheating on me. Which stopped me from being able to defend myself against the last two. Luckily, Shawn, being the Gamma, feels when I am in pain, so he rushed to help me. I couldn’t call for help as you haven’t made me a member of the pack. I have reached the limit. It's one thing not wanting me and causing me pain. Even breaking my nose last week was bad, but almost killing me I’m done. I Aurora Storm reject you, Lucian Grey, as my mate and Alpha” I say to his as his mum and cousin look shocked and angry.
