18 Drew We didn’t find a damn thing, not a goddamn thing to point where Shaun might have gone. We ransacked the apartment and came up empty. Devil had gotten us both girls’ schedules, but we stuck around campus for two classes—neither showed. They could have been at a friend’s house for all we knew, watching chick flicks and eating ice cream. Shaun had to know I’d come after her, so she’d be lying low someplace.
