Unfortunate circumstances didn’t even touch our current situation as I gave my life over to a man I barely knew, hoping he would get me out of the woods alive. A normal person would have called me insane. Even perhaps questioned my will to live. However, I was living on the edge. Something I never did.
“What are we going to do?” I asked as he pulled me into the house, locking the door behind us as if that was going to keep them out.
“Just…give me a minute.”
