Looking for Alexa

Chapter 13

Trish's P.O.V 

  David and I looked over at our daughter and I couldn't help but wonder if Alexa had any powers. I knew I had been waiting a while when the moon goddess came to tell me that I am the queen of all the supernatural beings, but I didn't even know what that meant. Hopefully I would find out soon, it's been so many years since the moon goddess had told me this and I needed to find out soon, so I could see if my daughter has any powers. Alexa looked so happy with Nick and I know she will be an amazing Luna.

  "Dance with me, my love." David whispered, grabbing my hand and leading me to the dance floor. My arms wrapped around his neck, as he held me close in his arms. 

  "We made an amazing daughter, she's beautiful, smart and strong. I'm glad Nick found her when he did." David said, when suddenly I felt like we were being watched. 

  "Look at the big oak tree, do you see what I see?" I whispered, David turned looking off into the distance. 

  "Yeah there are two rogues watching." David whispered back, we stopped dancing and walked over to Nick. 

  "There are two rogues by the old oak tree, watching everyone." David said, Nick looked up scanning the trees.

  Nick's P.O.V 

  There were more than the two that David and Trish had seen, there were four of them.

  "Guards, there are four rogues hidden by the big, old oak tree, get them and put them in the cells. I'll question them in a few hours." I said, mind-linking the guards on duty.

  "Everything will be fine, I've informed the guards and they are getting them now. I'll have them placed in the cells until I'm ready to question them." I said, turning to David and Trish. Twenty minutes later and all that could be heard was the soft music playing, people talking and the screams of the four captured rogues, as they were being led to the cells. It was getting late and as the night went on, people started to leave and head back to their homes. I nodded for David and Trish to follow me, as I took Alexa's hand in mine and we all walked down to the cells. The thought kept running through my mind, as to why they were here? We all walked down the hallway towards the cells, the air was thick with the smell of blood and death, but we didnt care and kept going until we reached the third cell. 

  A female rogue was in there and as soon as she spotted Trish, she stood up and bowed. When the other three saw what she was doing they looked at the source, their eyes widening as they immediately stood up and bowed.

  "What the hell is going on?" Trish asked, confused by the whole situation.

  "I'm sorry my queen, we only came because we heard that a human is after your daughter." The female rogue said, still bowing down and not taking her eyes off the floor. Trish looked at us all, confusion written over her face and ours.

  "I am no Queen." Trish exclaimed, causing the rogues to look up and exchange glances with each other.

  "I beg your pardon, but yes you are. Everyone is talking about you, even the fairies, they watch you from the trees, making sure nothing bad happens to you. The vampires are even scared to come near, but this human is determined to get Alexa, she says she is losing money and that she will get her back at all cost, even if that means she has to kill the whole pack." The female rogue said, Alexa growled so loud that it shook the cells.

  "No one will harm my pack. I'll kill them all before they step foot on this territory." Alexa growled and I rubbed her back to calm her down.

  "Alexa calm down, no one will harm the pack and no one will get you. It will be alright, we will get her before she gets us." I said, the female rogue looked at Alexa.

  "My name is Connie and these two here are my brothers, Dug and Kurt. We meant no harm when we came onto your land, we just came to warn you. That's all." Connie said, pointing at the two male rogues standing slightly behind her.

  "Are you the leader of your small group?" Alexa asked her and she gave a small sad nod.

  "We were kicked out of our pack years ago, because they said we were too weak, but we gained strength, smarts and learned our way around. It's hard to explain things, but you see and hear things when you're out there alone. Once we overheard the woman talking about you, well you know the rest and now here we are. This is better than sleeping in a chair or on the ground." Connie said, Alexa looked over at her mother and father, it was obvious that they were waiting for Alexa to make a decision, as this was our territory and not theirs. I know she will make the right decision, but she looked nervous. Alexa took a deep breath, looked at me and squeezed my hand. 

  "If you like you can stay here, while we whether or not to let you join our pack. There are rules to follow and if you can't follow them, then you will be banned from the pack. Get some rest and I will let you know the outcome." Alexa said, while the rogues nodded at her. Alexa nodded to her parents and then looked at me nervously, as we left the cells going back outside.

  "You did the right thing love, if they can go by the rules then they can stay and If not then they stay rogue." I said, hugging Alexa and reassuring her. I was proud of her and the decision she had made, it was what I would have done.
