Chapter 29

Sam's P.O.V

  The next day I went to go and see that awful hunter woman Carol, I decided it would be best to go before the builders came to build more houses for the ones that are mated. I didn't want to stay away for too long in case she got suspicious, I made sure I wore the dirty clothes I had always worn when meeting her and I smeared dirt around me to make myself still look like a rogue. It wasn't that much of a long walk, but I took my time not wanting to get there sooner and when I finally got to the hunters house, she was standing outside by the cage, looking inside of it. Something about her just standing there was a little creepy, but I still walked up to her and when she turned around, she had tears in her eyes.

  "I thought you left me too, just like my husband did. I knew what he was doing when he watched that skank bath. I would tell him to let her go back to her family, but he would always tell me that she helps us with our marriage. I knew that was a lie, but I let him keep her, I let him drag her from that cage to get hunted and then dragged right back, but now it's over. I'm glad your back, you look different, I'm sure that your mate has been taking care of you. I said two more months and we will get her, I want her in this cage, I want her to feel my pain, as I kill her mate. I'll burn him with this stunner over and over again, I'll rip his chest open and rip his heart out. When she is beaten, burned, bloodied and defeated, I'll rip her chest open and rip her heart out as well." Carol snapped, her voice carrying nothing but hate and venom. I stood there listening to her, worried by her words, but I still had to keep up my facade and so I hugged her.

  "Everything will be alright." I said, breaking the hug and fighting back the urge to gag.

  "You smell different, cleaner. Did you take a shower?" Carol asked me, cheeky b***h. I just nodded yes, still keeping my face straight.

  "I took my monthly bath in the lake, I needed to, it was time, I'm sure everything will be fine boss, we'll get her." I said, trying my hardest not to just snap her neck, but I was saving that pleasure for Alexa and Nick.

  "I'm sure we will, but when I get her, I want her tortured, cut, beaten to a pulp, I want her eyes so swollen that she won't be able to open her eyes." Carol spat out, shaking her head and I was shocked at her words. 

  "Carol, I'm sure we will get her, it's only a matter of time. Everything will be fine and when we do, she will be locked up, put away, you can sell her, abuse her, do whatever you wish, but you must stay calm and patient. I'll go talk with a few rogues right now and see if I can get their help, I'm sure they will." I said, making my excuses to leave. She nodded and walked back into her house, slamming the door behind her. I quickly walked away from her house, just in case she came back out, I couldn't wait to get away from her. 

  I ran all the way back to my pack and when I got there I saw that the houses were already built for the mated wolves and more trees had been cut down. We wanted to make a real go of this and do it properly, so we were going to build playgrounds, flower and vegetable gardens, everything is all set in motion. Some of the able pack members had even found jobs so that they could help out more and the pack had appointed Alec and I as their Alpha and Luna. 

  "How did it go?" Alec asked, running up to me.

  "That woman is crazy and she's getting crazier with every passing day. Did you get in touch with the counsel?" I said, shaking my head.

  "Yes, I have written the letter to them and sent it off, now we just have to wait." Alec replied, I pulled her close and kissed her forehead.

  "That's great news, I'm going to head inside and change my clothes, these are making me feel horrible." I said and ran inside to take a shower and get changed.

  Carol's (hunter) P.O.V

  I knew something was different with Sam, he was acting differently and didn't talk, look or smell like he normally did. Does he really think that he can fool me? 

  "That filthy rogue thinks im stupid, screw him ill get that b***h myself. I'll go to her territory and watch her, I'll learn everything she does and I'll set traps to catch her. I will get her, I'll get that good for nothing, waste of space bitch." I yelled, not caring who heard me, not that anyone was around to hear me. I was all alone now, my husband was dead due to his own stupidity and greed, but I wasnt that stupid, the only thing driving me now was vengence. That b***h is going to suffer and pay for the pain she has caused me.

  Alexa's P.O.V

  I was a little late waking up this morning and when I turned over to see if Nick was still asleep, he wasn't there and had left a note on his pillow, telling me that he was in his office. I sighed, thinking that we were going to spend the day together, but maybe he didn't want to. I got up and went to the bathroom, taking a long hot shower, but all the time I kept thinking about Nick and how I was ready to mate with him. I got out of the shower, dried off and then went back into the bedroom, getting dressed. I didn't want to think about this anymore, I wanted to act on it and I had made up my mind.
