[Next day]
“What are you doing, Stella?” Shax asked, as I was in the kitchen, leaning in to the fridge.
“I need something to eat, Shax, I feel like I’m starving!” I stated dramatically, as I found a chocolate cake, standing at the back of the fridge.
“Uhh, cake!” I beamed as I took it out and picked up a fork and quickly took a mouthful, as a moan left my lips.
“Uhm.. This is the third time you eat in the last hour.. Are you sure you’re okay?” He asked, as he looked at me with a slightly worried expression on his face.
I paused as I had the fork resting in my mouth, as I thought about it.
“I think so.. I’m just really hungry and..” but then a thought occurred to me.
“Oh no!” I blurred out, as my eyes widened, and I put the cake down, and placed my hands on my head, while I slightly started to panic.
“What’s wrong?” Shax asked as he stopped me from pacing back and forth.
“I think I’m going in to heat.” I replied, as Shax frowned.
“Okay? Does it mean anything?” He asked, confused, as I looked at him seriously.
“It’s very bad, I.. I don’t know what I’m going to do, you need to help me!” I demanded, as I placed my hands on his shoulders.
“Me? Why don’t you ask Armaros to help you? I’m not really great with all those girl things..” He spoke.
“No! I need to stay as far away from Armaros as possible!” I blurred out.
“Why? What does heat even mean?” He asked, staring at me with a puzzled look.
“Oh Shax, if you were just a little more invested in knowing your enemies, you would know that heat is when a female werewolf’s pheromone levels increase to start a mating process, and..” Baal started, as he came through the door, in the middle of our conversation, but it suddenly came to a halt, as the big grin he had on his lips, suddenly dropped, and he turned to me.
“Are you saying that you.. Are you in heat?” He asked, as I rolled my eyes. “Do you really think I would be standing here if I was? But in a few days.. Probably.” I replied, only to hear Morax laugh, as he came in as well and realized what we were talking about.
“It’s not funny!” I hissed.
“Oh, but it is.. You do know it hurts like a bïtch, right?” He taunted as I narrowed my eyes.
“How do you know? When did you become a female werewolf – last time I checked, you weren’t!” I snapped, as I crossed my arms in front of me.
“Oh, but I’ve seen my fair share of it.. And from what I know, the only thing that makes the pain go away is.. sèx!” He grinned, making me scrunch my nose.
“That’s why you want Mr. G-pants here, to help you, cause you know he is the only one who won’t jump at you when you beg for it!” He kept going, as I felt my face turning more and more red in embarrassment.
“Shut the fück up, Morax! Leave her alone.” Baal growled, as he just shrugged, not caring at all.
“Good luck, being in a house full of men for the next week!” He laughed, as he had picked up what he needed and left again.
I already started to panic, so I sat down on the floor and buried my face behind my crossed arms, trying to calm myself by rocking back and forth.
The only thing I knew about heat was what I had heard from my aunt Clarissa and Bella.
Bella had her first heat, when she was 16, and she was lucky her mother was there to take care of her, but for me, that had never tried it before, I wasn’t certain how to cope with it.
My mother wasn’t a werewolf, so she never talked about it, and she couldn’t really relate to it either.
All I had at that moment, was a house full of demons and yeah, all men, who weren’t any help to me.
My only hope to survive this with my dignity intact, was Shax, but he didn’t seem interested in helping me.
“Hey! Are you alright?” Shax asked, as both him and Baal stared at me.
“No, I’m going to die from embarrassment.” I whined, as I covered my face with my hands.
“If it’s really that bad, then I will help you.. If you still want me to?” Shax spoke.
I turned my eyes to his gaze, as he tilted his head to the side and gave me a genuine smile.
“Thanks, but I don’t know how it will work.. I might have two days tops, before this goes down. How will I be able to stand through this for a week?” I asked.
Shax squatted down and placed his hand on top of mine.
“Hey, don’t worry, okay? We’ll figure it out, I promise!” He vowed, as I gave him a small smile, but still, I was worried. I hadn’t really talked to Armaros after what happened yesterday, so telling him this seemed impossible to me, so I decided not to.
“But I don’t want Armaros to know about it.” I stated, as both of them frowned.
“Why?” Baal asked, as he observed me.
“He literally called me a slut yesterday, so what do you think will happen when this goes down? No, it’s better he doesn’t know. The fewer, the better..”
[Two days later]
As I woke up, the sun had only just risen.
And I had barely turned around, when I felt a slight pain shoot through my whole body.
My head was pounding, and then my body felt slightly warmer than it normally was because I was rarely sweating, and that was the first thing I noticed when I woke up.
I didn’t even feel like getting out of bed, so I just laid there, feeling bad for myself. Well, at least until the door opened.
“Stella! Are you awake? Armaros is asking for you.. Are you planning on going down for breakfast?” Shax asked as he came through the door.
He walked over to the window, as I heard he was about to remove the curtains.
“Don’t! I’m not going down there today, I don’t feel well.” I stated, as I pulled the sheet closer around myself.
“Oh, I had almost forgotten all about the heat thing.. Are you feeling okay?” He asked as he sat down next to me.
“No! Do I look okay to you?” I snapped, as I buried myself behind the sheet. I knew it wasn’t fair to be angry at him, all he did was just an attempt to help me, but I didn’t feel like I was in control of my emotions, and I didn’t want anyone to see me like that – especially not Armaros.
“I get it, you are in pain. I’ll get you something to eat and drink, so you won’t go empty.” He stated, heading towards the door.
After ten minutes or so, Shax returned with some different things like fruits, bread, cereals and juice, but I wasn’t able to eat or drink anything.
The rest of the day, I stayed in bed, feeling sorry for myself and wishing my mom was there with me, so I didn’t have to suffer alone.
It was scary and painful, and all I had was some fücking demons! Sorry, the language, but that was how I felt. I was mad at the world and nothing could change it.
Later at night, Armaros came to the room, as I felt him place himself on his side of the bed, while I was on my side turning away from him.
“Shax told me you were feeling sick and needed peace to sleep, so I gave you that, but I wanted to check on you.. Are you okay?” He asked, as he placed his hand on my upper arm, sending signals of pleasure through my entire body, only making me panic, so I had to make him leave before I would lose control of myself.
“I’m fine! I don’t need anything from you, just let me be!” I hissed, as I felt him pull his hand away again, like I burned him or something.
“If that is what you want,” He stated plainly, as he walked out the room and slammed the door.
I knew I pïssed him off, but it was the only way. I couldn’t let him see me act like some desperate slùt, begging him for sèx.
I refused to let myself sink that low. I just had to fight through the next six days or so, then it would be over.
[..]
The next day, Armaros was once again eating breakfast alone. He hadn’t seen Stella since yesterday.
He was angry after she yelled at him, but he tried to remind himself that she indeed was sick, and maybe still mad about what happened the day before that.
So, he decided to leave the room, and stay out of her way. Though, he constantly felt some pull in him.
He wanted to go up there and rip her clothes off, more than he used to, and it was driving him nuts.
But he believed it probably was because he hadn’t been with anyone for a long time now, not since Stella arrived here. He hadn’t really wanted to after he met Stella - for some reason, he just wanted her.
Just like yesterday, Shax came to the table and picked a few fruits, a toasted bread and a glass of juice, that he would bring to Stella.
“Is she still in bed?” Armaros asked Shax, as he met his gaze.
“Yeah.. She’s not feeling right, I guess.” Shax spoke, as he looked at the tray, and Armaros felt something was off – like Shax was hiding something from him.
“Do you know what is wrong with her?” Armaros asked, as Shax looked at him.
“Just some fever and pain, nothing more than a few days in bed won’t fix..” Shax smiled nervously, as Armaros narrowed his eyes, while Corson suddenly stepped in.
“Sir, your father just called, he needs you for a job.” Corson spoke, and while Armaros was focused on Corson, Shax took the chance and snuck out, before Armaros was able to call out his bad lying skills.
[Day three – Stella’s POV]
“Stella, how are you feeling today?” I could hear Shax's voice, but it sounded almost like an echo.
Compared to the two other days, the pain had intensified, and it was almost unbearable to be in my own body.
I had removed almost all my clothes, but I still felt like I was burning up, and it only seemed to get worse for every minute.
“Stella!” I once again heard Shax's voice call out, but I felt like I wasn’t able to answer, like I wasn’t in any control of my mouth or body. All I was able to do was whimper.
[..]
Shax was getting worried about Stella. He wasn’t doubting that she was in a lot of pain, but when she stopped answering him, he got terrified.
He placed a hand on her forehead, and he immediately felt the burning heat, though she almost didn’t have anything on, and he knew he had to tell Armaros, he couldn’t do this anymore - not like this - so, he ran downstairs towards Armaros office and opened the door without knocking.
“Armaros, you have to come now!” Shax called, as he opened the door to Armaros' office.
“Why? She has already made it pretty clear she doesn’t want me around.” Armaros replied, annoyed, as he never took his eyes from his work.
“But it’s getting worse, Armaros, I can’t get through to her, and she is burning up..” Shax stated as Armaros looked at him.
“You know what it is, don’t you?” He replied, making Shax sigh defeated.
“I do, but she made me promise not to tell you.. It’s some kind of heat, and she wanted me to make you stay away.. But she is literally calling for you right now.” Shax spoke, which caught Armaros' attention immediately, as he rose from his seat and ran past him to the stairs and towards the room.
When Armaros walked into the room, he was immediately hit by an arousing scent, but he proceeded to go to her side, as she was squirming in pain.
He gently placed a hand on her forehead, and a whimper left her lips, as he did.
“You are burning up.” Armaros stated in a worried tone as he grabbed a wet cloth from the bowl next to the bed and placed it on her forehead.
“Armaros.. Please.. It hurts.” Stella whimpered, as she writhed in agony, while sweat was covering her entire body.
She was only wearing a small top and a pair of panties, and it was clearly clinging to her body, as he could see her nibbles through the thin fabric.
“I know, babygirl.. You have done great..” Armaros spoke as he placed a hand on her thigh, and a moan of pleasure left her lips as she grabbed hold of him, and she, without hesitation, pulled him closer.
He was surprised by her sudden behavior and strength, but he couldn’t help but get turned on by it.
[Stella’s POV]
“You need to get released from this pain, Stella, please tell me how I can help you.” Armaros whispered in my ear, as his touch immediately sent sparks through my whole body.
Every primal instinct had taken over, and I didn’t feel like I had a say, I just needed him to touch me, to kiss, to have him inside of me – anything to get this pain away.
I wasn’t even worried about if I seemed desperate at that point, because the truth is, that I was.
