Human Hybrid's Twin Mates

Chapter : 2. Travelling away..

Cassia's point of view:-

My name is Cassia Ronald Thompson, and I'm 16 years old. I live with only my mom, dad (who are the Alpha and Luna of this pack), and our maid at our private house of the Silver Moon pack. It's been almost four years since I've gotten out of my house. I have even forgotten how the outside world looks like. I spend most of my day with our maid and my caretaker Maria because my mom, dad spend most of their time doing pack works.

My mom and dad tell me that the moon goddess has blessed me with the power of making someone bow down in front of me or make someone fall in love with me easily. But I think it's more like a curse to me. Because of this power, I can't go outside like a normal person or make friends like everyone. I hate to stay alone all the time.

And as for finding my mate, I don't want a werewolf to be the one. Because I know that if my mate is a werewolf, he is going to be an alpha and I know that he will never accept a weak human like me to be his Luna. After staying alone for all this time, I want someone as my mate who will love me and care for me unconditionally. That's why I want my mate to be a human. A human who won't break my heart just to maintain his position in this world. I hope the moon goddess grants my only wish to her.

Currently, I am sitting in our library reading a romantic novel. It's the only thing I love to do inside this house. Suddenly a knock took me out of the imaginary world of this book, in which I was living at this moment. I got up to open the door lock. I was instructed to lock the rooms wherever I stay, all the time. Especially after the incident that happened a few days ago.

“Who is it?” I asked before opening the door.

“It's me, Maria.” I opened the door, and she came in.

“Cassia, alpha asked for you right now.” She told me.

“Now? But dad was supposed to be on the training ground right now…”

“I don't know why, but he told me to bring you to his office at this moment.”

“Okay then. Let's go and see what's it about.”

Then both of us head towards dad's office. When we got there, I saw mom and dad both waiting for us sitting on the office couch.

“Is everything okay, dad?” I asked, worried.

“We need to discuss something important to you, Cassia. Come and sit here.” Dad motioned me to sit beside mom on the couch and I did as I was told.

“Cassia, we decided that it's time to find a suitable partner for you. That's why I'm traveling into other packs to find someone who can protect you much more than I can.” Dad said to me.

“What? Why? I know what happened that day was terrifying. I'm scared too. But that doesn't mean I need to get marked right now. And what about my destined mate? What if my mate is out there waiting for me?”

“Honey, you know that is not going to happen. A werewolf rarely accepts a human as his mate. I was lucky to be paired with your dad by the moon goddess. But what if you're not that lucky? What if he rejects you? You're not that strong to survive rejection. That's why your dad and I think that you should accept someone else as your mate before something like that happens.”

Tears started pricking out of my eyes after hearing mom's words. No matter how much I try to deny the truth, I can't change my fate. And I know getting rejected is only in my fate.

“But do you have to leave this place to do that? Can't you just call them?” I asked my dad.

“No honey. I have to go there by myself. I need to describe everything personally to them and choose the right one for you.”

“But, what if someone tries to attack me while you are gone?”

“I have thought about it too. I have already contacted one of my friends from far north for help. He is powerful enough to keep you safe for a few weeks. And his pack is located far away from other packs. In this season it's too cold outside there, for people to stay out. So, there won't be any problems with unmated males there. And besides, it's only a matter of a few weeks. I will try to come back as soon as possible.”

“Okay, dad. If you think it's the right thing to do, then I will do it without any further questions.”

“That's like my good girl. Pack your things by tomorrow okay, they will be here by the morning.”

I nodded to him and went back to my room. Somehow, the reality struck my heart, and I felt so helpless at the hands of fate. It took me a few hours to get myself together and when I accepted my future; I started packing my things. A Few minutes later my mom came to see me.

“Honey, are you alright?”

“I don't know, mom. I don't know if I'm ready to settle down yet. I'm just 16 years old right now. How am I going to handle everything?”

“We know that you're too young to do this, honey. But we have no other choice. We don't want anything bad to happen to you. Once you are marked and mated with your partner, all of us will be released from this fear. You will be free from all these restrictions. Believe me, sweetie, once you are marked, everything will change for you. You will be happier than you are now.”

“I hope everything turns out as you are saying, mom.”

“So! Did you pack your things already?”

“No. I have no idea what should I take with me. I don't know how long I'm going to stay and what I need there.”

“Take whatever you think you will be needing for your stay. Specially your personal things. And pack some warm clothes. There might be snowing at this season.”

“Thanks, mom.”

My mom kissed my forehead and went for her work after that. The rest of the day passed by only on my thoughts of, how the people are going to treat me where I'm going.

The next morning Maria waked me up early to get ready. I did my morning routine and dressed up. After that, mom came to see me.

“Cassie, are you ready?”

“Yes, mom. I'm almost ready.”

“Okay, check if you have packed everything or not. And don't use your perfume yet. Your dad wants to see how the boys are going to react when they smell you.”

“Boys??”

“Yeah. North bloodhound packs alphas: two sons are coming to take you. Although they are alpha blood, we have to test first what they do once they meet you.”

“Do you think it's safe?”

“Don't worry. Your dad, our beta, and gamma are going to be there with us and few worriers are on standby if we need them. Relax, everything's going to be fine.”

Suddenly a car honk interrupted our discussion.

“They are here. Get ready soon okay.”

Mom rushed down to greet them, and I went in front of my window to see them. I saw two strong boys getting out of a black car, but I couldn't get a good view because few of our people were surrounding them. I was getting anxious every passing minute, until Maria came to call me. Furthermore, I fixed myself and went downstairs.

When I was getting down the stairs, a strange smell got into my nose. It was the smell I craved for a long time. But I couldn't understand where it's coming from. As I got inside the living room, the smell hit me. It was the smell of the forest mixed with the smell of cinnamon and pine. It felt like I was inside a forest covered with fresh wind and an earthly smell all around me. It's been a long time I have taken these scents.

As I followed the scent, my eyes led me to two boys standing in front of me. They were looking at me the same confused way as I was. As I saw them, my heart confirmed that it was the smell of my mate. But I couldn't understand which one is it from.

“Honey, come here…” my dad called me and I went to him.

“Alphas this is my daughter Cassia and honey this is Aiden and Ethan, sons of Alexander Romero the alpha of North bloodhound pack and one of my dearest friend.”

“Hello.” I greeted them and put my hand out for them to shake.

They looked at my face once and then at each other before coming to me. One of them with brown hair falling on his forehead and a ragged face with a clenched jaw, whose name was Aiden, came and shook my hand. After that, the other one with black sophisticated pulled-back hair and a much softer face whose name was Ethan shook my hand. Except for their hair color and facial expressions, they are almost the same with the same deep brown eyes, huge muscled body, and Greek god-like features.

But one thing is for sure that they both are my mates. Cause when I shook their hands, I felt the sparks every werewolf feels when they touch their mate. And the smell I was getting before was coming from both of them. Aiden has the smell of cinnamon and Ethan has the smell of pine mixed with the smell of forestry freshness. But the strange thing is, they aren't acting the way they were supposed to by finding out their mate. Did they have not realized it yet?

“So alphas, when are you leaving for your pack?” My dad asked them.

“Right now,” Aiden spoke up.

“Right now? Aren't you going to take a rest for a bit?”

“I'm sorry, but we have to leave right now. If we leave now, we will be able to reach there before the night falls. It isn't safe to drive on ice at night.” Ethan spoke up.

“Okay then. Cassia, go and get your things. You should hurry now.”

I nodded to my dad and went to get my bag. I wonder when are they going to realize that I'm there mate. Should I tell them?

“No, I should let them say it first. I don't know if they will accept me or not. So it's better if I keep my mouth shut.” I said to myself.

After getting the things, I said goodbye to my family and my pack and got into the car. Tears are pricking out of my eyes in separation from them, but I was helpless. Soon the car started, and we slowly got away from my pack territory. My new life begins from now on.

I was sitting on the passenger seat of the car and those two alphas were sitting in the front. It's almost an hour since we left my pack. All this time they haven't spoken a word, but I could notice that they were talking to each other in their mind link. All pack members are connected with mind links in-between them. But as I and my mom are humans, we can't use the mind link. That's why we have our cell phones to call whenever we need someone. But most of the werewolf packs don't use phones because of their link, except for the alpha of the pack. They need phones to contact other pack alphas in emergencies.

“Shut up. We are not telling anyone about her being our mate. So, stop repeating it again and again.” Aiden spoke up all of a sudden.

He spoke silently enough to not go into human ears. But they didn't know that I have some powers like werewolves. I can hear things far away from me. It's not as strong as alphas, but it's much more powerful than humans.

His words pricked my heart like a knife. My mom was right. In this world, a werewolf will never accept a human as his mate. They only know the words of power. But how am I going to handle the rejection of two mates now?
