Chapter 6: Sunstroke What transpired during his spiel was a complete blur for me. Heat rose to my skull and warmed the areas behind my eyes. My hands started to shake, my vision twisted into threads of unrecognizable motion, and the back of my throat became dry. Eventually my legs weakened under my hundred and ninety pounds of muscle and I plummeted to the sand, suffering from a hearty dose of sunstroke. The fuzzy shadow of Brayden fell to his knees and he leaned over my semi-unconscious body.
