Chapter 16All week long, Josh had run himself ragged preparing to buy the house. He’d ditched work, spent hours on the phone, and haunted banks and credit unions. He’d fought his way through a forest’s worth of paperwork, begging for everything, promising anything. All to get the house Adam loved.
He had to cancel the honeymoon plans to put that money toward the down p*****t, but he figured Adam would forgive that. Everything was in place to prove to Mr. Levin that Josh was financially able to buy the house. All that was left was to convince the other buyers not to close the deal.
Josh arrived early to the meeting, confident he’d be able to pull it off and get to his wedding with no problem.
Then he ran headfirst into a problem.
