Chapter 2

Two years later after their graduation they decided to take over their family business. Si Silver ang humawak ng kompanya ng ama habang siya ang humalili sa kompanya na itinayo ng ina, While Aiden and Emerald decided to fulfill their dreams. Aiden works under Silver's supervision, sa hospital ito nag t-trabaho bilang isang surgeon while Emerald is an Ob-gyne. She sighed and stretch her body, masakit na ang balakang niya sa mag hapong pag upo.

Aiden texted her saying that he had a surgery and he'll be busy onwards. She misses him, but she needs to understand that Aiden has a life too. Bored siyang tumingin sa kisame, she sighed and close her eyes that definitely drifted to a sleep. A damp of kisses woke her up, lumawak ang kanyang ngiti ng makita ang ang kasintahan na hinahalikan ang kanyang mukha.

"Hi..." He huskily said. Amethyst opened her eyes and look at him.

Pagod na pagod ang mukha nito at tila walang pahinga sa mahaba niyang shift. "You've fallen asleep, are you tired?"

Amethyst shook her head, hinaplos nito ang gwapong mukha ng kanyang kasintahan. She look around and realize she's inside the room, mukhang binuhat siya nito dahil ang huling naalala niya ay nakatulog siya sa kanyang swivel chair and when she woke up Aiden is by her side.

"Dead tired." She said pinching his nose. "How's work?"

Aiden sighed, nahiga ito sa tabi niya kaya't umuklo siya upang gawing unan ang matigas nitong dibdib.

"Just fine," He said. "The operation is successful and all, it's just that I'm tired."

Naaawang hinaplos niya ang mukha ni Aiden, hindi man niya nararanasan ay alam niya kung gaano ka hirap ang trabaho ng kasintahan. Madalas na hindi na ito umuuwi dahil sa trabaho, hospital has been his home for quite a while now.

"Hindi kana busy?" Tanong niya habang tini-trace ang mukha ng binata gamit ang kanyang daliri. "I mean I would understand."

Aiden smile, hinawakan nito ang kanyang kamay at hinalikan.

"I know you would," he said kissing her hand. "And I'm grateful to have such an understanding and beautiful girlfriend."

Amethyst heart jump into happiness to what just Aiden said.

"Nambola ka pa." Natatawa niyang wika bago muling pinikit ang mga mata. "I'm sleepy..."

"Sleep then," he whispered kissing her head.

"Sing a song for me."

"Fine," He said groaning, he cleared his throat before opening his mouth to sing. Ngunit kakanta pa lang siya ay narinig na niya ang mahinang pag hilik ni Amethyst, He chuckled and carefully hugged her not wanting to wake her up.

"Good night." He whispered before drifting into a sleep.

Amethyst woke up and found no one beside her, her disappointment rose but a beautiful flower lying on the table raise her spirit. She pick it up smelling it before taking the small paper beside it.

A smile crept on her lips while smelling the rose she's holding, naiinis siya Oo, but Aiden's sweetness can easily melt her heart. After taking a quick shower she decided to finish her work and go home, sigurado siyang mapapagalitan nanaman siya ng ama sa hindi pag uwi. At the age of twenty eight Eros still treatment them like a ten year old kid.

"Abby?" She called.

Agad naman na pumasok ang kanyang assistant.

"Make me a coffee please."

Abby nodded before leaving the room, sa damo ng trabaho niya ay halos hindi na niya namalayan ang oras puwera na lang nuong tumawag si Aiden.

"Hi Babe have you eaten?" Tanong nito.

Amethyst pout, tumingin siya sa relong pambisig at napanganga ng makitang alas dose na ng tanghali.

"Hindi pa," she said. "I'll just finish my work and grab a bite."

Rinig niya ang palatik ni Aiden sa kabilang linya kaya't napatawa siya.

She knew he's upset and she wants to tease him.

"Thank you for the flower," she said chuckling. "May oras ka ba? Let's eat lunch together."

Sandaling hindi nakapag salita si Aiden kaya't nalungkot ito. She was about to say that it's okay when Aiden agreed.

"Okay Babe, I'll see you in an hour. Same location."

Ang kaninang malungkot niyang mukha ay napalitan ng ngiti sa sinabi nito.

"Okay! I'll see you." She said excitedly before hanging up the phone. She took her bag take her make up kit and rush towards the restroom. Matapos mag ayos ay nag mamadali siyang lumabas pero napatigil ng makita ang kakambal.

"What are you doing here?" Seryoso niyang tanong. Everytime Emerald is around she felt uncomfortable, matapos nitong malaman ang relasyon nila ni Aiden ay nailang na siya sa kapatid.

"Visiting? Bawal ba?" Mataray na wika nito at naupo sa sofa.

"Kailan ka pa nakabalik?" She said. Isang linggo itong nawala uoang tumungo ng Switzerland para sa kaibigan na yumao. "Are you okay?"

Kahit naman na nag kakailangan sila ay hindi parin nawawala sa kanya ang resposibilidad na alalayan ang nakababatang kapatid.

"I'm okay." She said pero tila hindi siya naniniwala dito. "Ikaw? You and Aiden—"

"Huwag mo ng ipilit Emerald, I will never leave Aiden." Matigas niyang wika.

Emerald chuckled. Umiling ito at kumamot sa kilay.

"Hindi naman iyon ang sasabihin ko."

Agad naman na kumalma ang kanyang sistema sa narinig, nasanay na kasi siya. She knew how Emerald hates her relationship with Aiden, hindi niya ito masisisi they grew up together, namulat sila sa mundo na sila ay mag kakapatid and their relationship as a lover is out of the story.

"Ano naman ang sasabihin mo?"

"That I'm happy for you."

Hindi niya inaasahan ang sinabi ng kapatid, her eyes watered.

"That I will support your decisions."

"Bakit?"

Emerald holds her chin and smile.

"Because I promise to understand you and Silver whatever it takes right?"

Naalala niya iyon, they vowed to understand each other whatever it takes. Whatever circumstances happened.

"Thank you..."

EXCITED SIYANG naupo sa puwesto kung saan sila mag kikita ni Aiden and of course it is a private place for them to eat. Halos regular customer na sila dito because this is their favourite spot to eat. A knock on the door makes her more excited thinking that it was Aiden but it's one of the waitress asking her if she would want to order now.

"Mamaya na lang pag dating ng boyfriend ko."

How proud she is mentioning to someone that Aiden is hers makes her heart warm. She took her phone out and dialed his phone pero walang sumasagot, she just thought that he's driving kaya't hindi na siya tumawag pa but it has been over an hour ngunit wala parin ang binata.

"Ma'am o-order na po ba kayo?"

Agad niyang nilunok ang laway upang hindi bumagsak ang luha mula sa kanyang mga mata, she hold the table cloth tight before nodding.

"I'll get a bottle of champagne." She said.

Agad naman itong tumalima at umalis sakto naman na pag sara ng pinto ay ang pag tulo ng luha mula sa kanyang mga mata. She tried calling him over and over till his phone was turned off ni text ay wala din ito.

"Here you go ma'am." Wika ng waiter at nilapag ang bote ng champagne at glass wine sa kanyang harapan.

"Paki alis yung isang wine glass." Cold niyang wika.

Hindi na nag salita pa ang waiter at umalis dala ang baso. She poured herself a champagne before drinking it straight, she really wants to understand Aiden pero habang tumatagal ay naiisip niya na wala naman talaga siya sa priority list nito. Seven years of relationship, pitong taon na silang nag tatago, she's tired of it but keeps on holding on because he loves him.

Nang hindi pa nakuntento ay sa mismong bote na siya uminom till the last drop of it. And after finishing it Aiden suddenly came rushing.

"Babe!"

Aiden's eyes immediately look at her, nag mamadali iting lumapit sa kanya at inalalayan siya sa pag tayo.

"You came!"

"I'm sorry..." He said caressing her face. "Let's go home okay,"

"Aren't we eating lunch?" She said pouting. "I've waited you know."

"I know I'm sorry there is—"

"A sudden emergency, Yeah right." Amethyst said chuckling pero ang pag tawa na iyon ay nauwi sa pag hikbi. "I-its fine, I'm fine."

"I'm sorry Babe. I'm sorry."

"A-ayos lang." She said. "Gusto ko ng umuwi..."

Hindi na nakaimik si Aiden at inalalayan siyang makalabas, she's not partially drunk dahil alam niya pa ang ginagawa niya. She just sat their in silence waiting for Aiden to come and bring her home. At nang dumating ito ay agad niyang pinikit ang mga mata.

"Babe?" Aiden whispered. "I know you're not drunk, I'm sorry."

Hindi siya umimik at nanatiling nakapikit just listening to him.

"It was just an emergency —"

"Can't you just bring me home?" She said. "Kung ayaw mo kaya kong mag maneho."

Aiden sighed, binuksan nito ang makena at nag patakbo palayo. Tahimik ang kanilang byahe, panaka naka ang ginagawang pag sulyap sa kanyan ni Aiden but she remained her eyes shut close. Mag aaway lang sila, ayaw na niya dahil stress din siya sa trabaho and she's trying to understand him.

"Nandito na tayo." Wika ni Aiden ng inihinto nito ang sasakyan sa tapat ng kanilang mansion. Agad siyang bumaba at pumasok sa loob, good thing their parents leave before she went home. Nag lakad siya palapit sa kama at palakdang nahiga doon, she buried her head in the pillow wanting to stop her sobbed.

Agad siyang nag punas ng luha she sat on her bed and kept her silence.

"Can we talk?" It's Aiden pero wala siya sa mood makipag usap dito ngayon. "Please open up."

But instead of moving she just look at the shut door without making any move.

"I'll... I'll get going, See you later." He said.

Hindi na siya nag taka ng hindi na muling nag salita pa si Aiden, he already leave. She sighed and wipe her tears away, she loved him more than he loves her, she can even fight for him but she think it's the opposite to Aiden at pilit niya iyong inintindi.

AMETHYST was surprised with a bunch of flowers in her office, ang sabi ng secretary niya ay may nag padala nito and Aiden permitted it she sighed and rolled her eyes not surprised to see him holding a bouquet of flower in his hands, dahan dahan itong nag lakad palapit sa kanya na may malawak na ngiti sa labi.

"Hi..." He said seductively smiling from ear to ear. "I'm sorry Babe."

Amethyst remained her stoic look while looking at him. Hindi niya alam ang isasagot dito, should she forgive him? Siya pa ba eh para siyang yero sa rupok pero siyempre tamang pakipot lang muna siya.

"Can we have a dinner tonight? Babawi ako Babe, I promise."

Amethyst rolled her eyes and was about to leave when Aiden pull her to him kissing the hell out of her.

"I'm sorry Babe." He whispered in between their kiss at dahil nga pinanganak siyang marupok ay nadurog ang barrier niya.

"Fine," A smile appeared on Aiden's lips kissing her again. "But don't messed up or I'll kick your ass!"

"Of course!" Wika nito.

She is really eager to hear those three words came from his mouth but to no avail Aiden didn't utter the word that she's been wanting to hear. Seven years of relationship and Aiden can't even utter those words.

"I-I L—

"Surprise!"

Agad silang napaghiwalay ng pumasok ang kanyang pinsan sa kanyang opisina.

"Kuya Aiden nandito ka pala?" Wika ni MJ at nilibot ang tingin sa paligid ng opisina. "Wow ang daming flowers ah!"

"H-her suitor gave it to her." Wika ni Aiden at nag iwas ng tingin. Tipid siyang ngumiti at lumapit sa pinsan.

"Ano namang ginagawa mo dito?" Nakataas kilay niyang tanong.

"I'm somewhere near by, just decided to visit you." She said giggling.

"Can I snatch Ate Amethyst for a bit kuya?"

Aiden smile then nodded.

"Of course, tapos na din naman kami mag usap ng ate mo." He said. "I'll get going, see you later."

Tipid lang na ngumiti si Amethyst at hinayaan na makalabas si Aiden, her lovelife is really complicated as hell. She just hope that one of this days Aiden will finally had the courage to show the world that she's his.
