Ruca's pet, Ai is a little beast that she saved during her mission. It have a white scales spread all over its body.

Ai favourite place to rest is Ruca's wrist. It coil its body around Ruca's wrist and start to stone itself. Unmoving.

It even can sleep at that position.

No matter where Ruca go, there are not even one person noticing Ai. With its small statue, people just see it as a bracelet that match Ruca's beauty.

Once look, Ai is just ordinary snake that people see frequently anywhere at forest, mountains and even in sea.

But if seen closely, Ai's scales are unusual. When there is no light present, its scales turn into any color Ai desire. There are even a tiny feet that hidden below its body.

At the beginning of Ruca early adopting days, Ai refuse to consume food.

Worried about her pet, she starts to offer food that usually snake likes to eat.Meat!

Trying to induce its appetite, she gives mice meat, deer meat pieces and even fish meat! Still it refuse.

Ai put vegetables into its mouth, chewing them one to 3 times and then spitting them back.

Days by days, Ai becomes more weaker. Its usual small body lose its weight.

As if knowing that its day are numbering, Ai refuse to separate itself with Ruca. Wanting to spend its last moment with her,

Looking at her pet, Ruca refused to give up. It is not her characteristic to let the fate decide anything.

To help Ai, she needs to find out what type of beast Ais is. Remembering that there are books of Information of Beast in her laboratory, immediately she go there to study it.

During this desperate moment, it is the first time for her to bring Ai into her laboratory. Before, worry that any exposure of her finding affect Ai, she forbid Ai to follow her. But fear that she are not beside Ai during its last moment, she forced herself to bring Ai there.

Arrived, Ruca starts to reach out to the pile of books and studied them.

Without her noticing, Ai starts to move to the area where many poisons reside there for the use of Ruca's research.

Ai's eyes become big as if looking something wonderful. There are even traces of droll at the corner of its mouth.

Moving to the container contained deadliest black poison where Ruca got it before at the forest, Ai starts to push the container down so it can obtained the poison inside it.

'Crash!'.

The sound of glass breaking startled Ruca.

Realizing that Ai are not beside her, she starts to search Ai by tracking the sound of breaking glass.

Noticing that the sound originate from the deadliest part of her laboratory, Ruca starts to move frantically. Worry that something may happen to Ai.

The scene there makes her speechless. the weakly Ai before are now are energetically sucking the liquid on the ground. Seeing the energetic Ai eating something makes her happy.

'Finally'. she sigh.

However, registering that the liquid is poison and furthermore it is the deadliest poison she possessed shocked her greatly.

"Ai, are you okay". She tries to pull Ai away from the poison.

With its slicked body, Ai escape from Ruca grasp and continue eating the poison. And when the poison are licked cleaned, Ai moves to other poison and pull the container down.

Seeing the struggling Ai, Ruca start to pour the poison and then Ai start to sucking the poison to eat them.

The cycle repeated many times with the other poison until Ai satisfied. After its stomach full, then it looks at its surrounding.

Seeing how miserable Ruca's laboratory become, Ai starts looking tearfully at Ruca.

"...Ppiuuu". Trying to arouse sympathy from Ruca.

Sigh. Ruca just lift up her hands and petting Ai. Realize that its master forgive itself, Ai starts getting sleepy.

After tidying the room, she left the laboratory while holding the sleeping Ai back to her room.

Having analysed the situation, Ruca discover that poison are Ai's food.

What Ruca discover too is, Ai is a gluttony beast.

Seeing Ai's body shaking with excitement, what Ruca thought is 'Not again'.

Its starts to move to the forest part of Kirlune Academy away from Ruca's side.

Realized that Ai have moved into the forest, the only choice Ruca had is to trail it.

The moving Ai suddenly shuddered. It felt a bad premonition.

However, a juicy smell keeps pulling it into the forest. The temptation is so great that it decide to separate with Ruca.

While moving its slicked body below the bushes, it go to the direction where the smell is the strongest.

There Ai sees a man. The man have a bleeding hand where the blood keep on oozing from its slashed wound. The man maybe just survive from a fight.

Slowly Ai approach him.

Realized a beast approach him, he looks at Ai.

"Hey, you lost?". He asks.

Ai answer him by move its head left and right to show that its not lost. "Ppiuu"

Understanding its gesture,"Aren't you are a clever one".

"Pppiiiuu..pppiiuu" Being praised, Ai moves in circle to show its happiness.

The man then smile at Ai.

Realize that the man are friendly, Ai moves near him and softly nudge his bleeding hand.

"Are you worry? Never mind this is just superficial wound. The problem is my magic cannot heal it. But after I arrived at home, it will be alright" He ease Ai.

After that, Ai start to move and coiling around the man's arm to stop the bleeding and look at the man.

"You want to help me?"

Ai moves its head up and down."Pii..Pii".

"Okay then". The man agree.

Hearing that, Ai moves and starts sucking the blood from area of wound. Ai eats the blood because there are traces of poison around the area of wound.

The juicy smell that Ai smelled before originate from there. The delicious the smell of poison the deadly poison it is.

If Ruca present there, she will see that the poison are darker than black night where all the black particle clumped together forming cluster. If its not treated immediately, there will be big probability that the man cannot use healing magic ever again.

After confirming there are no poison left, then Ai letting go of the man's hand.

When the man try to moves his hand, he feels something different. Feeling his hands become lighter.

After that, he apply the healing magic at his hand. Miraculously, it works! Slowly the wound close up. There are not even a trace of the wound appear.

"I can use the healing magic. Thanks ". He said gratefully.

"Pppiiiuu...pppiiiuu". Ai moves in circle happily.

Realizing that someone are moving closer to them, the man said,"Goodbye. Lets keep our meeting a secret, okay".

Then the man disappear in a blink of eye. Gone with any of his trace and presence. Just like no one there from the very beginning.

From far, Ai can see Ruca approaching.

"Ai, don't wondering around without me. Its dangerous". Before even coming near Ai, Ruca starts her 'speech'.

And just like usual, Ai will pretend it reflect itself.

Knowing that Ai did not listen to her,"As a punishment no food for today!".

Hearing that Ai become obedient. Weakly it climb Ruca's wrist and coiling itself like usual. But with additional of tearfully eye, its become unusual.

And just like usual too, Ruca's heart starts to melting. Sighing, "Okay, I will revoke the punishment. Just promise that never leave my side again".

"Pii...Pii". Ai moves its head up and down.

Then they leave the forest and come back to their home.

From a distant, the man sees the interaction between Ruca and Ai.

'Its looks like the willful girl from before does not change'. He smiles. Then the silhouette of the man disappear.

Turning around, she saw Ai is shaking".
