After practice for about one year, finally I can proclaim that I am proficient in wielding the dagger.
Striking, throwing and defend, I can do it well.
My father satisfied with my performance.
When I arrived at training hall, I see that my father have arrived with a woman.
Observing her, she has a fiery red hair and seem like a very likable person since her face are full of smile.
"Ruca, let me introduce this lady here is Lady Evelyn. She is going to teach you poison manipulation".
"Hello, Evelyn-Sensei. My name is Ruca Ciara. Nice to meet you" I greet her.
"Hello Ruca. Nice to meet you too". She smile at me.
"Lady Evelyn will teach you once a week on Monday. Then on the other day, you going to train as usual". He informed me.
"Then i will leave both of you. Have a nice day Ruca". My father went away.
My father have prepared a laboratory for me to study and practice mansion. Its situated quite far away from his mansion since he said that its dangerous if there are any poison leaked.
Its purpose also to make the anyone in mansion do not know that I am learning poison manipulation.
As for my little sister, I will tell her that I am going to take a break from training on Monday to relax my body. So she did not have to come to accompany me on that day.
Then, my teacher and I move there for the lesson.
"Okay,now I am going to explain what is poison manipulation." She start the lesson.
"What do you know about poison manipulation". She ask me.
"Hmm... an art to inflict injure or heal?" I answer hesitantly
"It is true but poison manipulation are more than that. Do you want to know?" She ask excitedly.
"Yes!"
"Poison manipulation involve in create, generate, and even emit the poison whenever we want. Poison manipulation also involve in setting the time for the poison to attack. There are many more need to be research for this field because its simply too mysterious". She explain passionately.
Taking a deep breath, she continue, "Ruca, remember this. When you discover a new poison, make sure to always get the medicine and its cure ready. If not, the effect is deadly".
She looks melancholy. I wonder why? Maybe she have a sad history.
"Sensei, are you okay?" I hold her hand.
She smiled at me. "I am okay".
"Ready to start the lesson?". She turn to her usual self.I hope she is going to be fine.
"Yes! what I am going to learn now?" I ask her.
" Now you are going to learn in identify the poison".
She bring out the box of bottles filled with different color of liquid out and show it to me.
She explained the poison in each bottles to me which include the already discovered poison and some that she still researching about.
It is so interesting. Suddenly my eyes catch a bottle filled with black colored liquid.
I try to touch the bottle.
When I reach for it,
"Stop! Dont touch it with your bare hand. It contained deadly poison!". Hurriedly, she slap my hand away.
"Huh. Thanks God i made it in time". She relieved.
Glaring at me, she said "Ruca, now there is a new rule. Do not touch anything without permission. Its dangerous".
"I understand, Evelyn-Sensei".
She really concern about me. Looking at the bottles again. Something crossed my mind.
"Sensei, then thats mean the darkest liquid is very deadly while the lighter liquid's color only have mild effect, isnt it Sensei?". I ask her.
"Huh, what color do you mean, Ruca?". She looked confused.
"The color of liquid in the bottle." I show the bottles to her.
"Ruca, are you okay? The bottles are filled of colorless liquid. Look at carefully." She said.
I look at the bottles again. Huh! it is colorless!
What is going on. I am bewildered.
"Its right, Sensei. Maybe I was mistaken before".
"Never mind then. Dont work too hard until you put strain on your body, Okay?". She advice me.
"Yes. Thank you, Sensei". I smiled.
After that little accident, my poison lesson continue on. Elvyn-Sensei also focused on teaching me the method to research new poison and find out the cure.
Usually, tests were done on animals. So any observation can be made.
The society abhor poison user since they see this as an evil act.
Elvyn-Sensei tell me how before, when she was doing some test on a dog, a villager saw it and curse her.
So she support the decision on I being a poison user a secret.
At the end of my lesson for the day, my teacher gives me a bottle that contain mild poison as a gift.
Receiving her good attention, i said my thanks to her.
From the lessons i learned, I can concluded that poison field is just like chemistry field in my previous life. While the effect of poison and how it takes is just like biology field.
I feel kinda nostalgic.
