Jack's leg brushed against mine underneath the table, but I was zoned out. For some reason, I just couldn't get the that damn book out of my mind.

I left the house before I could ask her and I spent most of the might listening to Alpha Kaiden tell me stories about my dad. We bonded, I guess and it was nice.
