Chapter 7:
CameronWithout knowing Charles all that well, I was surprised to see him floating off, but I didn’t care, but poor Kayley, she took it hard and has been lost ever since he left. I know how she feels though, I am not heartless, but I also know where he is going, Francis and I have been there, and despite everything we tell her nothing gets her out of the slump she is in.
But we press on. Every other day Mom and my Stepmother train us in the arts of magic and help strengthen our powers. The rest of the days are spent with Paul training our physical bodies. I am not sure what Sam and Afriel do during the day and I have not asked either. I am largely too tired to bother.
But today is Sunday, we are all off today. So, that means we can relax and do what we want to and Francis and
