Chapter 1: Reconciliation for Cameron?Lightning surrounded all sides of me, kind of like a protective cocoon. Dean rose off the ground once more and raised his hands and I lifted off the couch. He lowered his arms, placed me on the floor. I laid there in front of the couch now paralyzed and not sure what to do.
I hoped they could see the fear and agony, the sudden paralyzing look of horror on my face. Though it appeared they didn’t. They looked at me. They were talking amongst themselves as I kept trying to move, do something. Frightened as I was I kept trying to communicate with them.
The daylight was fading from my eyes and the lights were being turned on. How long I was there I could not tell. Dean rushed off, leaving me with Ariel who seemed more panicked than I was.
She was talking a thousand miles per second. I caught one word though, FAMILY, and the next thing I saw before I faded was Dean’s eyes looking back down on me. Though he was not there, I could see them.
Total darkness now gripped me. I felt motionless, if I was moving, I could not tell. I could feel nothing.
“Don’t fight it, don’t fear it.” Came a voice. This voice sounded soothing yet a little harsh. “I will not allow you to perish.” It finished.
I tried to speak, still as hard as I tried I couldn’t.
“I understand.” It said, like it knew what I was trying to say. “The transformation is nearing completion. I will arrive soon.”
I tried talking, screaming, anything. Nothing. I got nothing, then once more it spoke and this time I saw a glimmer of white floating in front of me, “Mother, my earthly mother. You whom I shall owe all to. I promise you once I am born unto your world, you shall receive blessings in all fashions.” It seemed as if it were it trying to do something, like make me feel better or persuade me this is a normal and good thing, maybe. I wasn’t sure.
I felt hands on my body shaking left and right. Then I felt my head lift off the ground as something soft, like a pillow, found its place under it. Then a thought hit me. Dean couldn’t touch me, yet now I have a soft pillow under my head. This makes little sense what so ever.
Then I heard something, “Sam, DON’T!” I got excited, I recognized that voice! The darkness faded now, and all I saw was a bright light in front of me. It went from eye to eye, I could swear I was going either blind or crazy.
“Can you follow the light?” a voice asked, halfway commanding.
“Come on Cameron…” said another worried voice. I knew that one straightaway, Francis.
Wait, Sam, Afriel, Francis? At Dean’s? What in the hell is going on here? I felt a pull on my left as a hand wrapped around me. I heard a faint whisper of a voice and I could not make out a single word.
Then I felt a drop. I felt a hard drop, like I was landing hard from a high fall and I could see once more.
“AHH!” I screamed, and I jolted upright!
“Cameron, calm down, I’ve got you!” My Mom’s voice said, and I felt her hands reach around me. She was rubbing my back and tummy (lacking better wording). “All is fine; we are all here.” She finished.
I turned my head looking left and right and as my eyes focused I saw smiling faces. No one was panic stricken, more like cry stricken. They all were crying, yet smiling. It must be some exciting moment.
“Welcome back to the land of the living baby!” my Dad blubbered. He wiped a few tears away from his face. “God, we have all missed you!”
“I-I” I tried talking, but it was no good. My Stepmother put her hand over my mouth.
“Not yet,” she began, “don’t over exert yourself. Take it slow.”
I smiled and insisted that I was absolutely fine and that all was well with me. My Stepmother gave me a look, but I did what I could to deflect it and smiled a cute dashing smile. She smiled back and giggled some which told me I won.
“Cameron, what happened?” Tom asked. I looked over at him and I could see the worry on his face. So, I filled everyone in to the best of my ability. They all looked at Dean and Ariel puzzled. The two looked at each other and shrugged their shoulders.
“Not sure,” began Ariel, “when I was pregnant with Dean, I had an occasional blackout and the sounds of voices. But I was not out for more than a day or two. His father was frightened, but he got used to it.”
“Wait,” I began, “How long are we talking? How long was I out for?”
“Oh, eight months.”
“Eight months!” I screamed, looked down at myself and tried to check myself out as best I could. There was a large bulge, you could tell I was pregnant, but my family said it didn’t seem that big. Just then a man in a white lab coat came walking in looking the part of a doctor in every way.
“Ah! You’re awake at last.” He said “Can I get the room? I would like to see my patient.”
Everyone cleared and were talking amongst themselves like they were all buddy-buddy, which I don’t understand and never got to ask either.
The doctor took his stethoscope off from around his neck and began his examination on me. He hmmed and nodded, he checked my front and my back, then upon completion he looked at me and said, “Yes, you are at home and yes, I too am an Angel.” He paused for a moment as I thought of questions, he talked once more. “I was requested to come as a favor of Raphael and Afriel. I rarely treat humans, but yours is a special case. You have inside you a deity. It’s very interesting.
“Look at it like this, back long before you were born, angels and humans lived together. There was a lot of this, and a lot of strange births. They spawned a new race called Nephilim. Half angel and half human. Only a male angel and a female human could produce this creature.
“Now your case to this is similar. Dean’s soul is that of a dying god from ancient Greece. Himeros I believe. You my dear, are a natural born human witch. Which gives you a little extra ability to withstand this pregnancy. If it was not for your powers, you would have died months ago.
“The baby is fine and growing well. I am very impressed. But I must warn you that this child is one of three that one day will try to tear down the heavens with their father to rebuild his ancient home. I suggest you leave here and shield the child from this and live a peaceful life somewhere.”
His warning hurt a lot. I loved Dean with all my heart, hell, I would bear his child! To leave would be unthinkable but something inside of me said this is the right thing to do. It was more like screaming.
“Do you understand Cameron?” The doctor asked after a while. “I cannot promise that no harm will come to the baby if you remain on this course. God, the Almighty, does not wish harm unto you or the baby. That’s why you were shielded. That’s also why you slept so long. It was Gods way of trying to help save you.”
“I understand.” I said.
“Great!” He said passionately. He glanced around and walked to the door, then opening it he looked around. Upon closing the door, he walked back and whispered, “I shall be in and out. We shall get you and the baby out of here secretly and hastily. You both will be fine.”
He then walked back to the door and out he went. He came back after about five or ten minutes with a wheelchair. Dean, Dad and Tom were also with him. They went to different sides of me. The doctor set the wheelchair up facing me and instructed them on how to get me into it. Once I was there, I felt a relief, I thought for a moment I would be dropped.
He advised them he would return every couple of days to help me get back on my feet and with more angelic help for the delivery. Dean was not happy, but he accepted it. He said he could not do it without help and that he could not trust a human doctor at this crucial stage.
They shook hands, and the doctor warned them all not to overstress me, but to be on civil terms. No more fighting. I was quickly pushed by the doctor to the stairwell and Dean lifted me, wheelchair and all, and placed me onto the floor below. I was once more rolled out to where everyone was.
“I shall tell you all, as I have told the boys. No more fighting, no added stress onto Cameron until the baby is delivered. I and two others shall be in and out every couple of days to check on her.” The doctor said, partway snapping at them and not. He was letting them know what was what, and it was also like an oath they all agreed to.
Then out of nowhere my world begins to whirl, twist and turn and then all things around me turned black and I begin to fade from existence…
