I can't believe how much has changed since yesterday. I got my wolf, we were attacked, and I found my mate. I need sometime to think and I want to shift again, so I head back to the pond alone this time. When we reach the pond, I strip out of my dress until I'm naked feeling the wind on my skin. I'm just about to shift when I hear a branch break. I quickly pick up my dress and cover myself before I see Jason stick his head off behind the tree. Jason, what are you doing out here you scared the s**t out of me. "Sorry princess, I was just out for a run when I thought I heard someone so I came to check, it out after the attack last night." Well, you should be careful, to not put yourself in danger Jason. "I appreciate your concern princess but just because I'm an omega doesn't mean I don't know how to fight." I didn't mean to offend you I just wouldn't want you to get hurt. He nods at me but begins to stalk forward. When he is a few feet from me, I raise my hand. What exactly are you doing? "I thought I could please you since we are far out here and, well, your body is something to behold." I see a flicker of anger on his face but as quick as it came, it's gone. "Is something wrong here" I hear Liam's familiar voice. Great can a girl spend any time with her wolf alone. No Liam, Jason was just leaving. Jason nods and runs off toward the palace. I turn so my naked back is no longer in Liam's sight. Did you need something Liam, I say gruffer than I meant to? "No I just came to check on you after everything that happened yesterday." I appreciate that but I'm fine as you can see. I would really like sometime with my wolf. He smiles and I feel like an asshole. "You got your wolf." "What's her name?" Her name is Star and we were just about to go on a run. "Can I join you?" "I would love to see your wolf?" I want to say no but I also don't want to hurt his feelings. I need to make sure he understands that we are never going to happen. You can, but before we do, I need to make sure you understand something. You and I are never going to happen. I have a fated mate and he is the only one I want. "But what if you don't meet him." "I have loved you since we were kids." I love you too, Liam, like a brother, even if I never meet him you won't ever be who I choose. I can actually see his heart breaking at my words. Liam I'm sorry. He puts his hand up and turns to leave. I can't even chase after him in the state I'm in.
Rowan POV
When I see her standing near the pond, I catch her scent on the wind. I want to smell that scent for the rest of my life. I have masked my scent to avoid being caught by border patrol. One of my most useful gifts as rogue. I see that creeper Jason watching her and I'm just about to rip his throat out when he makes himself known. I see the lust he has in his eyes for our mate and I want to rip him to shreds. When he starts toward her, I know I will have to blow my cover if he does anything to Aubrielle. I hear a familiar voice and see Liam. I know he doesn't like me because of Aubrielle, but I also know he will protect her. Liam was in love with her when we were kids. Once that asshat Jason is gone, I watch the painful exchange between Aubrielle and Liam. When she says she will only ever want me, Goliath is prancing in my head. Really, Goliath, settle down, do you forget everything that is happening. "I don't care what that piece of s**t Raymond wants, she is mine." I shake my head and watch Liam as his heart breaks. He really is a good guy and I hope he finds his true mate. I watch her take some deep breaths before she drops her clothes to the ground again. Goliath growls this time, ordering me to go f**k her. Stop it Goliath, we can't just do that.
I will say just the sight of her standing there naked is doing things to my body. My c**k is standing at attention with thoughts of taking those pert n*****s into my mouth while I finger her beautiful p**sy. I shake the thoughts away. I need to focus on why I'm here. Before I can walk out, she shifts into the most beautiful white wolf. Holy s**t Goliath, she is a white wolf too. "No s**t Rowan, she is our perfect match." I roll my eyes and watch as she takes off into the woods. "Follow mate now." Alright, calm down Goliath. She takes off and I shift into Goliath to follow behind her. Don't let her see you Goliath I mean it. He pushes me back and jumps landing right in front of her wolf. Damn wolf you never listen.
Aubrielle POV
Star takes off and we head into the wooded area near the pond. She is just about to sprint when the white wolf jumps in front of her. "Mate" she growls. I know he is Star, but we can't give in until we know his intentions. She whimpers but still walks forward rubbing her side against him. Star stop it we have no idea what he is even doing here he could hurt our family. Star steps back finally listening to my words. I look into those blue eyes and for a moment I feel like I know this wolf, but it isn't possible. Before I can register what is happening the wolf is shifting into human form and I can't believe what I'm seeing. The most beautiful naked man is standing before me. Not only is he made like a Greek god, but I know that face. Could it really be him after all this time? I go behind a tree and shift. I throw on a pair of shorts and a t-shirt brings an extra set to offer him. When I walk back out, he is gone. What the hell? Why would he leave, maybe he doesn't want me but lost his nerve to tell me? I take a breath and sit on a nearby log. When I hear branches break, I look back to see my so-called mate coming toward me. "Aubrielle" he whispers. So, you are who I think you are. "I wish I was that boy died a long time ago now I'm just a rogue." Well rogue care to explain why you are here if that is all you are.
