3 White Wolf

Rowan POV

After Raymond walks out of the cottage, I pick my mother up taking her to my room. Once inside I lay her down on the bed and put my hand on her cheek where it's starting to bruise. I'm so sorry mom. She looks in my eyes "don't you ever say you're sorry for Raymond's behavior." "I wish you never found me again when you were a boy." "You would be happy with your mate right now, not having to turn her over to that bastard." I will never let him have her mom. I need to find a way to get you and Toby out of here safely. "You know he will never let that happen; he is a monster." I know he is but I have no intentions of helping him have my mate. "I would rather die than you ever let him have her." Don't say that mom, I'm going to make sure you are all safe. I go out to the kitchen to grab ice for my mother's cheek when one of Raymond's many girls Sky wraps her arms around my waist from behind. I shake her off and turn around to face her. "What's the matter Rowan don't you want to feel good?" Sky I'm not interested in anything with you I have a mate out there. "I heard Raymond say that she is his now so why not let me please you." I grab her by the throat not to hurt her but to get her attention. Never speak about my mate again and stay away from me Sky. Just as the last word leaves my mouth Raymond comes walking back in. I see the pissed look on his face that I'm touching Sky. I told her no but she wouldn't take no for an answer. His eyes land on her after I release my grip on her throat. "Come here sl*t right now." I almost feel bad, but I know she wouldn't care one bit if he beat my ass for her coming on to me. As soon as she reaches him, he slaps her across the face knocking her to the floor. I dare not move to help her because he will take it as weakness. " Get your ass to my room for the rest of your punishment." She puts her hand on her cheek and rushes toward his room. He smiles at me "loyal to a fault son" he says as he walks away.

Aubrielle POV

We head toward the pond after I'm done talking to my mother. "Are you nervous Auby?" A little I won't lie but I trust Star. "That's good you trust me Aubrielle we are one in the same." We reach the pond and I tell Morgan to stand back. She smiles and goes to sit on the rock. My parents wanted to come but I wanted to do this on my own. I take some deep breaths and I can hear Star. "Don't fight against me the first shift is painful, but it will be worse if you fight it." Ok Star I trust you I won't fight it. A few seconds later I feel a tingle all over my body before its replaced by pain. I start to scream as my bones begin to break and shift into new position. Once it stops, I look down and see snow white paws. Oh, my goddess Star you white like our mate. We walk over to the pond and look into the water. The only difference between us and our mates is our eye color. Our eyes almost look gold where is a piercing blue color. "Hello Aubrielle, we are amazing." Yes, we are Star thank you for being my wolf. I start to walk toward Morgan. "Star you are pure white and beautiful." Star rubs her muzzle against Morgan to say thank you. "I like this girl." I laugh I'm sure you do when she is giving you compliments.

Star bends down allowing Morgan to get on our back. Once she is in place we take off at a run. It is amazing even though I'm not in control I feel amazing. We run for about a half an hour before we come back to the pond. I shift and grab clothes we left behind. Once I'm dressed, we head back to palace my parents are waiting in the garden for us. "How did it go Aubrielle" my father asks. It was awesome my wolf's name is Star. "Can we see her Auby?" Of course, mom I go behind the building and shift which is much easier this time. I have no pain with the shift. I come off behind the building and both my parent's gasp. I know Star is beautiful, but their gasp seems to be more than just amazement at her beauty. Star walks up and both my parents start to rub her side. "You are beautiful Star and blessed." What does that mean? I know I'm a hybrid that fulfilled the prophecy to bring our people together, but I'm confused why they called Start blessed like that. After a few minutes I go back to get dressed before I come back to my parents.

My father wraps me up in his arms as soon as I'm in front of them. What's up dad? The smile on my mother's face lets me know that it's nothing bad. "You are a blessed wolf, Aubrielle." What does that mean exactly? "Your wolf Star is white, and you have a crescent moon on your side." "It means that you have been blessed by the Moon Goddess herself." "White wolves are rare and have powers which explains your healing ability, it's not part of your hybrid powers." I can see Star strutting in my mind and I laugh. "What's funny about being blessed Aubrielle?" I'm not laughing about that dad Star is strutting in my head. "Well, she has every right to strut she is very special and so are you." Both of my parents kiss my forehead before they head back inside. I turn to Morgan. My mate is a white wolf too. Do you think he is a blessed wolf too? "I don't know but I believe that any mate that you get is probably special Auby." I wrap my arms around her hugging her close. Thank you for being the best friend a girl could ever have.

Unkown POV

I can't believe she is a white wolf. She doesn't deserve to be the next Queen let alone a blessed wolf. I need to make sure that she never takes the throne. I've had to watch her mother a leech rule by the King's side, and I will do everything not to have that hybrid take her place. I leave the pond and head for my room. When I walk int Lisa is sitting on the couch. "Where did you go this late?" I took a walk out by the pond. She comes over and wraps her arms around my waist. "Did you see her wolf?" I told you I would find out what her wolf looked like. "Well, what does she look like." She looks like any other wolf. I don't need to hear Lisa whine about her being special and it not being fair. Don't worry she isn't special and soon we will make sure she knows it. She smiles and I kiss her forehead.
