I woke up tired but satisfied. It had been a long day driving back, but it was good to be back home. I wondered how it would feel once Hope reclaimed her pack. Would I feel out of place there? Then I felt Hope moving, and I knew that I would be okay as long as she was with me.
I kissed her and felt the smile on her lips as she put her hand behind my head and pulled me even closer.
"Good morning," I said, once she let me go.
"Very good morning. I love waking up next to you. I missed you the couple of days we were apart. Let's not do that again, okay?"
"I would be very glad if we could spend the rest of our lives next to each other. I'm okay with not being away from you ever," I smiled, and she smiled at me, but then something crossed her eyes. "What?"
