After my little jewel and I talked we decided to wait until the following day. We rested and soaked up as much of each other as we could. We spent the day making love and clinging to one another. Grothet was livid with me and Kate's decision. He didn't understand why we had to be separated for this training. I tried to explain it to him, but he swore that hurting our mate was not an option, that he would never do what my father claimed could happen, and that he was stronger and had a more powerful connection to our little Jewel than any previous dragon ever had.
He argued with me nonstop till I couldn't take it anymore and blocked him out. Kate and I promised one another that we would write and call to each other every day. She promised me that she would love me forever and
