Chapter Five:

2594 Words
Sam’s POV: “mmmm…Sam!” Melody hums before pulling my hard member into her soft, plush lips. I can feel the way that her warm, soft tongue sucks me in deeper. I throw my head back in ecstasy. Goddess, this woman is a vixen! I look down at her with black eyes and squeeze her raven locks of hair between my fingers, guiding her head backwards and forwards against me. I just get harder and harder the longer I watch her mouth take me in. Her equally black eyes, never leaving mine. I growl out in pleasure and pull melody up, throwing her onto the bed. If my little vixen wants to play rough, she will see my beast come out. I can hear Thunder, my wolf, growling in lust in my head, making me pace towards her. I look down her body and see her spreading her legs for me. Her little, pink flower glistening and ready for a plucking. I smile at how wet she looks, knowing it's all for my pleasure. “Beta Sam?” I hear a voice trying to contact me in and I to ignore it. I won't let anybody interrupt this moment. Meldoy ALWAYS comes first. I reach my little mate and start nibbling at the insides of her thighs. I can hear her harmonious moans filling the air, making me throb in anticipation. “Beta Sam?” I hear the same voice in my mind link again and I growl out in frustration, stopping my attack on my mate. “WHAT?” I boom out in mind link, replying to the unknown voice, which I can hear is a female. “Your sister, Beta. She has been taken to the Clinic. She is unconscious.” The lady finishes and my heart almost stops. My little sister is unconscious? What the hell happened? "Noted." I reply back and cut the link, looking down at Melody with frustration and guilt. I quickly stand, hearing my wolf whimper from the loss of contact with his mate. “Sam, is everything ok?” Melody asks, her eyes holding concern and embarrassment for my change in attitude. I look down at her, sitting on the bed and see she is hiding her nakedness. I follow her gaze to my softened member and see the hurt in her eyes. “Oh Goddess, Melody. You, my little vixen, are the most sexy wolf I have ever met. I could kill someone for interrupting us now, but someone just mind linked me that Viola has been taken to the clinic and is unconscious.” I say, running a hand through my hair in worry. How could she ever think I don't want her? “Viola is unconscious! Well, lets go!” Melody says in panic. I love how much she cares for my family, as much as I do. We put clothes on and run out of our new home and to the palace. I feel myself becoming increasingly panicked the closer I get. "Thank you for understanding, Melody." I say, looking at her pacing quickly next to me. I can see she is still flushed from our lost moment. Melody gives me a smile and I can see the care in her gaze. I look at the clinic doors and my worry increases tenfold. I can’t help but let out a loud, angry growl when I enter, making everyone bow their heads. “I want answers, NOW!” I boom out, making a young nurse shiver. I can’t help it, I feel on edge. I feel Melody running her fingers along my back, making my wolf calm down. It is as if she has magic in her finger tips. “Where is the doctor around here?” I ask, lifting my eyebrow at the staff around me. “Beta Sam, Viola is fine and is through here. If you can follow me.” I hear a male voice coming from next to me. I rake my eyes up and down the male wolf approaching me and my mate. He is tall and very fit, but he’s dressed in ordinary clothes. What is this random dude doing walking around, giving instructions? “Who are you?” I ask bluntly. Making a point of looking at him up and down. His eyes quickly look down and as if a penny drops, his eyes fill with amusement at my confusion. “I am Mitch. I am a doctor here with Viola.” The male says and I nod. I don’t miss Viola’s scent all over him though and I feel my wrists ball together tightly. I will kill him, if her hurt her! I walk along the hall with Melody and we stop in front of a room. I can see the male wolf gesturing for us to enter. When I walk in, I see my little sister lying on the bed in only her vest and pants. An IV drip with fluids in her arm and monitors beeping all over. My eyes widen in horror at the state of her health and melody’s sob brings me out of my thoughts. “S-S-Sam, look h-how thin s-she is!” melody sobs out and walks to her friend. I feel my heart pull in sorrow. Viola is really looking bruised and ill. What is going on? “What is wrong with her?” I ask the doctor coldly. I’m not even sure if I want to know. “We are still doing some tests to see what could have caused this…” the doctor begins, but I can smell his scent all over her as well, which has me in a rage. “Why is her scent all over you and WHY IS YOUR SCENT ALL OVER HER?” I shout out the last part, making the doctor look down in submission. My beta wolf is feeling very on edge. “Beta Sam, your sister and I were out ice-skating. We share similar schedules at work and today was our day off. I was swinging around with her on the ice and I don’t know what happened. It was as if her brain switched off for a few seconds and she just let go of my hands and fell.” Mitch says, looking down with a pained expression in his eyes. I wonder what his issue is? Viola has been avoiding everyone for months and here she is, mucking about with this doctor wolf! “You should have been quicker when she fell!” I shout out, staring the wolf in his eyes. I can see the guilt there. Melody interrupts my moment with the doctor. “Thank you, doctor. Please continue the good work you’re doing here and when you have any new information about Viola, please tell us immediately.” She says, looking between me and Mitch. Her expression has more empathy, with a glint of betrayal. I break my gaze with the doctor and follow Melody out the door. “Tell me when she wakes.” I say, looking back and meeting the doctors eyes. He nods and I nod back. I can't help, but notice the way Melody looks beaten up by seeing Viola like this. "Melody..." I begin and she looks at me with tearful eyes. "Sam, your sister isn't well. I have a feeling that the fall on the lake is just the start of it all. She is hiding something, I can feel it. That and she would rather spend time with that doctor, than any of her friends. What did we ever do to her?" Melody says. I am going straight to Flora. She will know how to sort this out. Viola’s POV: I hear shuffling around me, but the sounds are muffled. The smell of roasted lamb with Rosemary is lingering in the air, making me lick my lips. Why do I feel so hungry? “Come on baby, open your eyes.” I hear a soft whisper and the feeling of rough, large hands inform me that the voice is Mitches. I can’t help but smile. I love his hands. “I can see you smiling, but you need to open your eyes.” Mitch says again, giving me small kisses on my cheek. I focus on my vision, pushing my eyes to open. Slowly, slowly, the blackness starts blurring and fuzzing into a more bright and colorful view. I have to take long, heavy blinks before I allow my eyes to stay open. The sight of Mitch looking down at me, with his luscious curls and dark orbs, is all the motivation I need to catch longer looks. I can see him smiling down at my efforts and I feel his fingers move the hair from my face. My eyes adjust a bit more and I look around frowning. Why the hell am I in the clinic? “Why am I in a hospital bed?” I ask, looking around me. I grab the glass of water next to me and chug it down quickly. “You fell on the ice, baby. Don’t you remember?” Mitch says painfully. I can see the concern and guilt in his expression. I take a moment to think about what happened and it all floods back to me. I was having so much fun and I fell! Goddess, it feels like I am a pup again. “That was a painful fall!” I say, giggling out, but this doesn’t stop the pained expression on his face and I feel my stomach become unsettled. “You have been out for two weeks Viola.” He says, holding my gaze. I almost choke on the lamb at his words. Two weeks! Did I have some sort of head injury? “And we did every test possible. No head injuries. No physical injuries.” He carries on, tilting his head and observing me. I feel like I am a child being scolded at all of a sudden, but I decide to just shrug my shoulders at him. “Two weeks is a very long time for a wolf to be out for no reason, Viola.” Mitch continues and I feel myself tense. I know why I was out. My wolf is dying. I remember her collapsing in my mind. “So what are you saying, Mitch?” I ask him, letting my words become laced in irritation. I can see his posture become tense. “What I am saying, Baby, is that I am worried about you. You say you’re fine, but you let go of my hands on the ice, almost as if you wanted to hurt yourself. You fall unconscious, even with no injuries and then I find out you’re also painfully thin under all your clothes!” Mitch remarks, trying his best to keep his cool. “You saw my body, without my consent?” I raise my voice in irritation and shock. How dare he! “Of course I did, Viola. You were bleeding and unconscious. You know hospital procedure, it was my job to put an IV into you and hook you up to fluids. I had to take all your jackets off first, which do a great job at hiding how unhealthy you are, by the way. Goddess, Viola, what do you think I am? I didn’t just undress you for fun. I’d much rather have your consent the day I do that!” Mitch says, his voice become exasperated. I can hear the truth and care in his voice, but he sounds just like everyone else around me, who just carry on blabbing about my health and everything that is wrong with me. This only adds gas to my internal flames. “Well, Mitch, stop being paranoid! No wonder Lila…” I begin shouting out, but he puts his hand in front of me, with furious tears in his eyes. I can feel myself regretting the words, but it's too late. I just used his dead mate against him. “Do not even finish that sentence, Viola.” He says and leaves the room. He doesn’t even look back. The empty silence consumes me and I can’t help but sob. I know that he only cares and I care for him too, but my wolf is dying and I just feel wrapped up in grief. I cry out for Ely, hoping she can hear me and just hang on. Goddess, what is wrong with her? I spend the next 24 hours sleeping and eating. I asked the nurses for no visitors, as I don’t feel like speaking to anyone right away. I also know I need to make things right with Mitch. He’s been my only friend throughout all of this chaos and I really was so, so happy with him, prior to my wolf collapsing. “Six meals in. Used the toilet. Taken all medication. No pain or discomfort. You’re free to go home.” Mitch comes in, ticking items off the clipboard chart. I smile at how thorough he is with his job. I made a great choice hiring him as a doctor here. I see him sign a piece of paper and hand it to me. “Your script for medication. Its for pain and some vitamins for extra nutrients.” He says blankly. I frown at the paper, but remember that he saw how thin I was and probably felt vitamins would help me. I look up at him and before I can meet his eyes, he starts walking out the room. “Mitch?” I call for him softly. He turns to face me, still not meeting my eyes and I sigh. “Come by my place after work today?” I ask again, hoping he will look at me. He doesn’t meet my gaze, but he nods before walking off. I guess I really hurt him. I slowly climb off the bed, taking the awkwardly large, hospital robe off of me and replacing it with a simple tracksuit and sneakers. I look in the mirror and feel shocked at how horrible I look. I suppose that’s what two weeks of being in bed with no shower does. I gather the last of my items and take a quick gulp of orange juice, before heading out the clinic. I walk into my room and let out a sigh. I think I am going to have a bath. I run the hot water into the tub and start adding in my favorite, lemongrass essential oils. The smell automatically comforts me and sends my mind into a peaceful haze. I climb into the burning liquid and let the heat absorb into my muscles, making them relax. I can feel Ely purring in my mind at the smell of the lemongrass. “My favorite scent..” Ely whispers and I smile. I wonder how she is feeling. “Not well, Viola, but the lemongrass is helping me feel better. Look, I can even stand a bit.” The blonde wolf says before standing up. I can see her tail wag ever so slightly. My eyes glisten with happiness. I promise to bath in lemongrass everyday then, Ely.
