Hester noticed Sofia's indifference to the subject of Diana and Freddy, so she decided to inspire and change the subject.
"What about the pudding in the cafeteria? I ordered a nurse to bring some for us" said Hester.
At a nod, the 3 girls ate pudding in complete silence, until Hester wanted to say something to break the silence, but, after some thought she stopped herself.
She definitely couldn't finish what Lucas had ordered her to do. Hester could see that it was not a good time to tell Sophia the truth, she was reluctant to hear it from him.
After eating the pudding, Hester sighed and stretched out her arms "I think it's a bit late and I should be going. Get well soon Miss Marswell" she said before getting up.
"Thank you so much for coming to visit me" Sofia hinted politely.
