Fifty Million Dollar Maid

“Let go... let me go.” Edith struggled to release herself after being taken out of the van. The van carrying Edith was again out of Demelza’s sight. The people targeting the car with the license plate marked by Demelza were tricked by their trick when they exited the ferry. The jeep carrying Edith was left empty, and they came out with Edith in a van that didn’t look suspicious. The bad guys took Edith to a remote place that looked like an old warehouse on the front. The place looked exactly like an abandoned place. Edith was forcibly dragged to the door below. With what energy she had left, she kicked the man holding her, making him groan in pain and release his grip. She hit The other man, guarding her hard with her elbow on the nose. “Ah, s**t!” The avro-haired man cursed as the blow to his nose caused his ears to ring and his head to spin slightly. Edith used the chance to run while untying her hands. Her feet ran down the hallway of the same building as she remembered which hallway they passed through. Her tired body ran recklessly, bumping here and there and making her fall more than once and get up. She ran while sobbing Archer’s name repeatedly. She was full of hope that her brother would appear in front of her and help her, protecting her from those surgeons. Unfortunately, her hopes became even thinner when she found them chasing her, and she was tending from behind until she fell to the floor. “Damn it, where are you going!” the Avro’s voice echoed in the poorly lit building. Edith’s eyes, which had been wet for a long time, stared blearily. Her cheeks, which the floor had crushed, were now stinging from the tears that came out like an uncontrollable overflow. She tried to keep crawling from there with her legs, which were difficult to stand on. “...please stop... Stop... let me go.” She muttered softly while continuing to walk. The pigtailed one, whose vital organs were kicked, looked at her fiercely, approached and pulled her hair, then slapped her hard more than once. “You b***h!” He vented his anger at the beating he got. The beating Edith gave him made him so congested that he almost forgot how to breathe; it took more than three minutes for him to run and catch up with the Avro to chase Edith. Not stopping with just a slap in the face, he pulled Edith’s hair until Edith was forced to get up and straighten her body; then he kicked Edith and made Edith’s body again, inching down to hit the wooden boxes there. “Stop it!” The Avro pushed the pigtail and made her fall. He looked at her fiercely. “What are you doing, you bastard? You want to get us in trouble!” They traded blows, the pigtailed one not accepting what Edith did. But the Avro reminded him that their job was to take her alive, not dead. Edith had almost died there, her memories of her family being just fine, her mum and dad smiling at her, flashing before her eyes. She thought she could finally be reunited with them and stop being afraid. The voices of Avro and the pigtail were faint in her ears, and her eyes were heavy. But as the Avro grabbed her hair, her consciousness slowly returned. “Hey b***h! You’d better stop throwing trouble.” He warned. Edith just stared at him vaguely helplessly. She then tried to close her eyes to let them take her somewhere she couldn’t see or remember. In a darkened room with a large podium, a masked man stood looking at the guests seated on dozens of chairs before him with the same appearance, wearing masks over half of their faces, covering only their eyes and cheeks. “We have come to the point tonight where I will bring you all the most highly awaited items,” the auction house host said excitedly. The auction house that night was more crowded than usual because of the news that tonight’s auction had extraordinary items to be auctioned off. The seats that should have only been dozens were filled with the country’s wealthiest people, numbering in the hundreds. They were all waiting for the item whose rumors had already made waves in just a few hours. The host tapped his mic again to bring everyone’s attention to him. “I’m sure you’ve all been eagerly waiting for this one item; trust me, you won’t regret it. Here we present to you the beautiful maiden of the Moore family.” With all his might, the host exclaimed, pointing his hand towards the falling curtain to reveal an auction housemaid pushing in a cage. The boisterous voices of the hundreds of guests who had arrived greeted them like ancient humans who knew no manners. They stared at the iron cage containing Edith with wild gazes as if they were ready to devour her. The host smiled with satisfaction at the reaction of the people. “It’s not disappointing, is it.” He looked at Edit, who was clinging to her body in fear. The host’s eyes also took in the curves that Edith tried to cover with her hands but were not completely covered. “This is a special item that the auction house deliberately prepared for the guests who came.” He enthusiastically walked around the cage, fixing his eyes on Edith’s body, which was wearing only a thin, skimpy cloth. “Before I begin, I will bring your imagination to life on this item before your eyes. With her perfect curves, she has a body size that stands out compared to the usual women. The Moore family has genes that are certainly beautiful. Imagine seeing her standing on your body without a single thread. I’m sure it’s so entertaining for you.” Edith’s body trembled, not just because she was cold or anything but because the situation she was currently in was so disgusting that it made her helpless. With her body full of wounds, they forced her to wear a white cloth like a slave and then thrown into a cage, and now on display in front of many people. She felt so ashamed, her confused eyes staring at the hundreds of pairs of eyes that insulted and scorned and looked at her lustfully, that she was desperate and could only curl up to hide her body. “Archer... Ar... cher, where are you?” she mumbled the name again in her hoarse voice. The host saw her cowering with a dark gaze and then approached the cage. He inserted his hand from between the iron bars and grabbed Edith’s chin to force her to raise her head. “What are you doing? Straighten your head.” Their eyes met. “If you duck back down, then I’ll make your legs come up astride and then tie them so the others can see what you’re hiding behind your thighs.” Edith gasped, filled with dread, and then quickly straightened up. She didn’t want to get into a more humiliating situation than this and lose her dignity. The host smiled as Edith quickly complied. “Good, smart girl.” He praised her and then looked back at the others. “Let’s start with the lowest price for the maiden of Moore at one dollar.” He turned his body towards Edith and smiled. Edith gasped. Her whole world seemed to collapse when she heard she was only valued at one dollar. Her heart broke, and she began to cry as she took the humiliation from them. Edith looked at the group of people laughing in front of her. She looked at them with hatred; she could recognize them. They were the four prominent families that destroyed her family. Edith clenched her hands tightly, groaning with a scream in her heart because her throat was so dry she couldn’t make a sound. “Fifty million dollars!” A sign was raised, and a man shouted a much higher price while smiling smugly at Edith.
