FIVE YEARS LATER
I stared into the mirror and couldn't help but smile at my reflection. I'm happy. So happy. I've been able to find my peace, and I don't regret ever leaving. This new place has taught me some resilience. I faced a lot of difficulties, but I was able to conquer them. I made new friends too. Good friends. Ivan still remains my number one. I don't think anyone will ever beat his friendship with me.
I walked out to the restroom and saw Ace playing with his friends, but when he saw me approaching, he stopped what he was doing and ran to me with full speed.
"Mummy!" I smiled and stretched out my hand open. He hugged me so tight.
"Are you done playing?" He nodded his head.
"I was looking for you. Where did you go to?"
I chuckled. "But I told you I was going to the restroom
