What is she doing here? I asked myself
She must have seen the surprise in my face, because she said, "I wanted to surprise you, and I think I just did that." She smiled and pecked my lips.
I stood like a statue. "Why didn't you tell me you'd be here?"
She furrowed her brows, confused. "Do I need to inform you now? Have you forgotten that I come here whenever I like without any issue, except..." she trailed off, and I knew what she was about to say.
I rolled my eyes. "Oh, please."
"Yes, except if that nobody is trying something stupid," she said, and one could easily see the defensive side of hers. I knew I had to calm her down. I don't think I have the strength to deal with Jennifer right now.
What was I thinking before, that she won't come into the house anymore?
