Chloe could sense his temper from the tone of his voice. He didn't even look at her and his hands were busy typing on the computer. That made Chloe feel guilty. She felt like she was disturbing him. Technically, she was in the wrong there for bringing their personal matter up during working hours.
"I'm sorry... I'll figure it out myself then..." she said softly and excused herself from the office room. She could hear him sigh sharply before she closed the door behind her.
When it was lunch hour, she didn't have the appetite to eat so she just stayed at her desk. Besides, she brought a homemade energy drink made from oat, so drinking that alone made her stomach pretty full.
