The announcement of Tuck’s intention to marry Jane forced Keenan to fully embrace his need to move on. He and Evan had certainly forged a strong friendship. And there was no doubt Evan was in love with Keenan. In both words and actions Evan had declared his love for Keenan. This was evident in the way he related to Keenan out in public, showing affection openly, offering expressions of endearment, and in general acting as if they were a couple in love. Every time they were intimate, Evan expressed his feelings of love for the man in no uncertain terms.
Evan didn’t seem to notice Keenan never reciprocated those feelings. Either Evan didn’t need Keenan to express his love verbally in order for Evan to be sure of it, or Evan had the patience of Job, giving Keenan the time he needed to let it
