I nearly choked on my food, staring at both of them wide-eyed, trembling as they stared at me with plain expressions. This wasn't happening, this wasn't happening, I told myself repeatedly, trying my best to contain my fear but it wasn't working. “You're pale, love. Eat your food,” Devina said blankly, a hint of worry in her tone.
