Epilogue
As a joke, Ted lifted Brad into his arms and carried him over the threshold into the new house they had rented together.
“You happy, babe?” asked Ted, lowering Brad to his feet.
Brad smiled and kissed him on the lips. “The happiest.”
They held each other, their lips pressed against each other, for a few moments before Ted playfully slapped Brad on the bum.
“You go and freshen up and I’ll do something about dinner. It’s going to be a long night sorting all this stuff out.”
Brad looked around the room, at the combined boxes of personal belongings that would all have to find a home once the furniture had been put in place. He shook his head and headed for the main bedroom, where he would be sleeping with Ted for the rest of their lives.
