Chapter 6Dax jerked awake when Ellis’s alarm went off. “No.” Ellis turned it off and rolled over in the bed until he had one arm and one leg wrapped around Dax. “It didn’t go off; it was a dream.” At first, Dax didn’t dare breathe. Russel had never cuddled, and he’d been furious with Dax if he was too close when they were in bed. He’d claimed it interrupted his sleep. Then Ellis made a sound of contentment and melted half on top of him. Carefully, Dax stroked his back and squinted at the window.
