“Kalina, rather than that, can you help move towards sector 3? There’re a lot of casualties there. The people from the evil mastermind are creating havoc there. Many buildings are destroyed, and it is basically a massacre.”

Hearing that, Kalina knows the worst has happened. Although the people from the evil mastermind only killed the heroes and leave at some venues, their members aren’t pacifists. Bloodthirsty murderers are among their ranks, and Kalina knows that victims appearing are normal. She just feels powerless as she couldn’t prevent the loss of lives.

After hearing Selly’s plea for help, Kalina moved towards sector three as it wasn’t far from her current location. When she arrived there, the situation is like a scene from hell. Limbs, flesh, and fresh blood splattered everywhere while sounds of screaming and helpless cries come from here and there.

Clenching her fist once again, Kalina knows that it wasn’t the time for her to stand there and feel sad. With a swipe of her hand, countless plant roots come out from the ground and search the area. The plants' roots are strong enough to clear the rubble from destroyed buildings, and in no time, survivors are being brought out one by one.

After finding a clearing area, the survivor is immediately treated by Kalina’s healing plants. One body after another is carried to this place. As for the unfortunate ones that aren’t breathing anymore, Kalina creates a simple coffin from tree trunks for them. At least she wanted them to have a peaceful end as they already have a horrific moment before they pass away.

After finished clearing up the area, Kalina tallied up the numbers. One hundred seventy-three light injuries, 345 severely injured, and 291 dead. Just looking at it, her hatred for the evil mastermind rose once again.

“Selly, you haven’t located him yet?”

“For now, he is stopping by at an abandoned church outside the town. However, he is not alone. There’s at least twenty other evil mastermind personnel with him.”

Hearing that, Kalina flinched for a bit before contemplating. Should she go to that place knowing that she will need to face more than twenty enemies alone? Or should she stay and wait for backup from the association? She knows very well that the association probably won’t pursue the enemy since they don’t have enough time to plan for a subjugation party. Not to mention the United Heroes association doesn’t want to do a mission without clear information on the enemy.

“Tell me the place. I’m going there.”

“For real?”

Even Selly is surprised to hear that Kalina decided to go on the suicide mission.

“The place is far away from the city, and there’s no guarantee that you will make it in time.”

“Don’t ask too much and just tell me.”

Selly is now in a dilemma. Should she tell Kalina the location or not. After all, facing twenty enemies from the evil mastermind isn’t a joke. There is a big chance that Kalina won’t walk out from that place ever again.

Gritting her teeth, Selly decided to accept Kalina's request and told her about the location of the enemy.

“Outside of the city, there is an abandoned church on the way to city B. twenty minutes away using a vehicle. The problem is, isn’t your thorn bike broken last time?”

“Don’t worry about that. I will take care of it, and thanks.”

Before Kalina cut off the call, Selly called out to her once more.

“Hey.”

“What is it?”

“Don’t forget now you have a family. A little brother. Please return alive for his sake.”

Hearing that, Kalina flinched once again. She has her own mission, but she also remembers that she now has someone that she could consider as a family member. Knowing about his mentality and how he thinks, he might very well break if she died on her journey for revenge.

“Alright. I will keep that in mind.”

After that, Kalina cut off the call, afraid that Selly will say something that will shake her resolution. Kalina then dialed a new number after that. When the call is picked up, she can hear an equally agitated voice from the other side.

“What is it? I’m busy.”

“You must be pissed off because of the evil mastermind attack. I got a clue on where they are at, but I need transport.”

“Really? Even Marcheline couldn’t track them fully.”

“The information comes from Selly, so it must be true.”

“Oh, is Selly still active?”

“She’s not, but she is always watching, you know. You can trust her information.”

“Okay, where are you?”

“Sector 3. I’m rescuing people here.”

“Okay, arriving in two minutes.”

Not long after, a specially designed helicopter arrived in the vicinity. The helicopter doesn’t even land as a rope stair is thrown down, and Kalina immediately gripped it as she climbed up. The moment Kalina gets inside, she see Alexandra sitting inside with a grim expression. Clearly, she also dislikes this incident that has caused too many casualties.

“Where are we going now?”

“An abandoned church on the way to city B.”

“So, how many enemies are there?”

“Selly said there would be at least 20.”

“20, huh? It’s only one-fifth of the total number of enemies that come and cause this madness. I wish there are at least half of them there. That way, I could appease the soul of the dead.”

Alexandra doesn’t even show any worry about the enemy’s number. She even thinks that the number of the enemy isn’t enough. After all, she is an S-rank hero, and from the information that she got, none of the enemies is of S-rank. There might be an A+ rank, but it wasn’t something that she couldn’t handle.

Not to mention, Kalina is accompanying her. Although Kalina's stats on paper are of that A-rank, Alexandra knows that Kalina isn’t normal. If a hero in a battle can be counted as a soldier, Kalina is a platoon by herself. The number of plants that she could summon is the reason for that. For example, if Chang’e can only summon four rabbits as her pawn, Kalina can summon tens or even hundreds of her plants.

Alexandra also knows that Kalina still has a few tricks up her sleeves. Like Chang’e black rabbit, Kalina also has special summons that she rarely uses but has devastating power. Even Alexandraa doesn’t know the depth of her ability.
