Lava Boy uses all of his power to cover his body with fire, turning into a human torch, but the ice didn’t back down.

Although Lava Boy managed to turn a lot of ice into water, they didn’t stop forming again and continue to wear down his energy. Soon enough, Lava Boy didn’t have enough energy to power up his fire as it runs out.

The next moment, an ice block containing Lava Boy appeared in the arena.

“Ninth match, Frozen Rose versus Lava boy. Frozen Rose wins.”

The announcement was made, and Elica turned her body as the ice block in the middle of the arena breaks down into pieces beautifully before floating into the air and disappear. Everyone feels as if they are looking at a fairy walking down from heaven, accompanied by ice crystals.

Even Max couldn’t help but admit that Elica is very beautiful and could make him mesmerized.

“Not only she is beautiful, but she is also strong. Although my wind element could still fight against water-element, I doubt it could do much against her ice element. As a water wall can be pierced by wind bullet, I couldn't say the same for ice wall since it is tougher.”

As for Lava Boy, he isn’t critically injured, or anything since Elica controlled her power. Enough to make him immobilized but not hurting him. After all, extremely cold temperature can cause burn wound and even stop the heart from beating and brain from functioning. It is very easy for her to kill Lava Boy just now, which is also why the announcement was made.

Some referees are watching on the side to determine the winner and loser of the competition and stopped things before it goes too far and an accident happened.

“Tenth match, Nature Love versus Deep Blue.”

Max is also interested in him because of his unique ability. He uses sound, which couldn’t be considered an element, and he is curious about how sound can be used in battle.

On top of the arena, Kieran bowed to the audience and camera, inviting cheers and applause from the audience. His opponent is a woman draped in a blue robe that could deduct that she uses water elements with long-range battle style.

The opponent looked hesitating when she stepped onto the arena. Either it is because she feels that she is inferior to Kieran or because of nervousness. Something like this could be said to be losing the war before even it started.

However, the competition doesn’t allow forfeit before fighting as it wasn’t something that portrayed how a hero should act. Surrendering before even trying is something shameful for a hero. As a role model for the people, no matter how small is the winning chance, the hero should keep on fighting and try to turn the tide. Creating a miracle where the odds of winning is only 1% is something that the heroes do.

“I actually don’t want to fight with you. However, competition is a competition after all, and if I am going easy, it will be dishonouring you. I won't hold back either just because you are a woman, and I hope you could give me a good fight.”

The audience can hear what Kieran said to his opponent and immediately give him another applause. If nothing wrong happened, he could possibly win the fair-play award just because of his sentence earlier. It also showed that he respected his opponent and wanted them to show their best even if it could cost him the match.

After hearing what Kieran said, the hesitation on Aqua Lady’s face disappears as she gives him a nod in appreciation. She will definitely give her best even if she loses to him later on.
