“Alright, since we’ve finished with the introduction, shall we talk further as we have our lunch?”

“Okay, sounds like a good plan.”

The six of them then enjoyed the lunch while talking about the current situation of the heroes world. Recent news and other things that are ‘hot’ right now fill the gap of Max’s existing knowledge of the heroes world.

Max also learned a lot about teams and each specific task of the team member. The group itself can vary, but four is the average number. There are bigger teams that can consist of ten or even twenty people, but four seemed to be the most standard number.

After having their lunch, Max and Kalina bid goodbye to Yuna and her team.

“You’re welcome to come by and revisit us anytime, teacher.”

“Air, if you’re still confused, you can come and talk to me anytime.”

Ken as the only male in the team, feels like he has found a comrade, and they become close in no time. Ken is also Max’s first hero friend, so there are many things that he wants to discuss with him.

After lunch, Max and Kalina headed directly towards the beauty gym and entered their special training hall.

“It would be very nice to have a team. However, keeping such a team will mean extra expenditure. Not to mention if I want to have really good people in the team, it will be costly. I don’t think it’s suitable for my current situation. Big sis Kalina, does every hero have a team like that?”

“Not every hero, but most successful heroes are in a team. Of course, what you said is all correct. Usually, heroes start to get into teams when they reached C-rank, where the mission will give more rewards, and they have some money to spare. It doesn’t mean that there’re no D-rank teams. What do you think will happen to those that failed their hero examination test? While waiting for the test next year, they usually get into teams. Also, not every student from the United Heroes association will take the hero examination test. There are people with limited talent, but their heart aspires to serve the people and team up with their friends to achieve this. This is also one of the advantages of getting into the United Heroes school. Networking might seem to be nonexistent, but it is priceless nevertheless.”

Max can imagine that before the graduation day or before the hero examination test, people whose parameter isn’t even reaching D-rank grouped up together to support their friend taking the test and promised to be one team if one of them gets the hero license.

“Imagine what will happen if you have a team when you are in the same situation as when you’re with Crawley.”

Max then closes his eye and recalled the scene. This time, there’s a variable in his chase, which is his team member’s support. The scene where Max jumped to the roof of the building to look for Crawley will be different.

“Max, Crawley isn’t running over there. Instead, he is moving towards victory road.” The support from the intelligence team will give him direction as they have drones and cameras available to be used under the United Heroes permission.

As Max is chasing after Crawley, another information will be relayed to him.

“Max, you need to be careful since Crawley’s real ability assessed as high C-rank and almost at B-rank. I have already called for help from the association, and they will arrive in ten minutes. You need to tail him or try to stall for some time. Be careful since his ability is related to lightning. His moves are thunder cage, thunderbolt, and thunder enhancement.”

The battle with Crawley itself will be entirely different. Not to mention if he has a backup hero as his team member, they could fight Crawley using a pincer attack, and he might not have to rest on the hospital’s bed for three months afterwards.

“Big sis, the result of the battle will be significantly different. Not to mention that having a team will change the game.”

Max thought for a while, and the scene from before is being replayed in his mind. He didn’t have a backup hero, and he can deal with that. He doesn’t have anyone helping him taking and submitting the report, and he can deal with that. One of the most crucial factor in the battle is the support from the intelligence section. He didn’t hesitate at all to answer Kalina’s question.

“The team member that is responsible for intelligence.”

“Oh, it seemed that you’re not dumb and understand what you lack the most. Having an intelligence team member will greatly help you. But, then, what to do to get that team member?”

“Erm, big sis, aren’t we just have to find someone and pay them with money?”

“Of course, if you are trying to find someone for the intelligence position, you will need to pay them. However, where you want to find them?”
